With bright smiles and hearts full of purpose, the young people of Cambus-oc gathered for a ‘’Basic Orientation Seminar’’ held at the local chapel — a meaningful initiative aimed at nurturing values, leadership, and spiritual growth among the youth.
The seminar brought together a diverse group of young individuals from the community, ranging from children to teens, supported by adult mentors and youth leaders. The event was held in a warm and welcoming setting, with the chapel altar serving as a symbolic reminder of faith being at the center of the gathering.
Organized by local church leaders and community volunteers, the orientation served as a foundational session to introduce the goals and responsibilities of the youth ministry. Topics covered included youth are the hope to the church, log in but disconnected, and synodality.
A heartfelt ‘’thank you’’was extended to the ‘’Barangay Cambus-oc BPC President”and all the “guest speakers”, whose inspiring presence and words helped ignite a new fire in the hearts of the young attendees. One of the key messages that resonated throughout the day was the powerful reminder:
“Youth are the hope to the church”
According to Mariel Obregon Almerol “Always trust God and Pray wholeheartedly”, and Ai Mee also quoted that “ It’s okay to cry but always remember to rise up because everything will be alright”.
Beyond the talks and discussions, the atmosphere reflected a strong sense of camaraderie and shared mission. Participants engaged actively, exchanging smiles, stories, and shared aspirations for a more connected and faith-driven community.
“This orientation is just the first step,” one of the speaker shared. “We’re building a strong, spiritually grounded youth group that will soon take on projects for service and outreach.”
As the seminar came to a close, a group photo captured the spirit of the day — young leaders standing together in front of the altar, many making symbolic gestures of solidarity and peace. It's a moment that speaks not only of learning but of hope — that the youth of Cambus-oc are ready to rise, lead, and serve.
