‎On the ninth day of the Novena, August 24, 2026, Rev. Fr. Eugene Narsico presided over the 5:00 PM Holy Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Ocaña.
‎
‎In his homily, he emphasized the importance of listening in every family. Parents should understand and listen to their children. When there is genuine listening, we have greater understanding, unity, and love. Fr. Narsico said that everything begins in the family, they are our first ground in shaping our better selves.
‎
‎Humility allows us to live a peaceful life. When we know how to listen to the Word of God, we are allowing Him to guide our actions and our decisions. Our families and parish will become even stronger when we practice genuine listening and humility. We should become an instrument that contributes to the good of our family and our parish.

On the 8th day of the Novena Mass, August 23, 2026, Rev. Fr. Christopher C. Amores presided over the Holy Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Ocaña.

In his homily, Fr. Amores reflected on the Four Marks of the Catholic Church: One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. He reminded the faithful that we are one Church, gathered as one family and united in faith; holy, founded by Christ and called to holiness; Catholic, because our faith is universal and embraces all peoples; and Apostolic, because we remain rooted in the teachings and mission handed down from Christ through the Apostles.

He also reminded us that there may be moments when we feel discouraged, when our faith becomes weak, or when we struggle to hold on to hope. Yet, Christ remains faithful and never abandons His Church.

As we celebrate our 64th Parish Founding Anniversary and 2nd Altar Dedication, may we continue to stand firm as one Church, united in faith and love, with Christ as our strong foundation. May we become a truly synodal and listening Church—a Church that walks together, listens to one another, and remains centered on Christ.

A celebration of love, commitment, and God’s blessing!

On August 22, 2026, our parish joyfully celebrated a Mass Wedding for 12 couples as part of the celebration of the 64th Parish Founding Anniversary and 2nd Church and Altar Dedication Anniversary.

With their families, friends, and the parish community as witnesses, the 13 couples publicly expressed their love and commitment to one another and received the blessing of the Church as they begin or continue their journey together as husband and wife.

May God bless these couples with a lifetime of love, faith, understanding, and unity. May their families become a reflection of God’s love and a source of blessing to our parish community.

Congratulations to all 13 couples!
May your married life always be guided by love and faith in God.

During the 7th day, Rev. Fr. Isaias H. Gerali Jr. presided the novena mass on a Saturday, a devotional day for the Blessed Mother. On this same day is also the memorial of the Queenship of Mary.

In his homily, he encouraged everyone to be like our patroness, Mary who shows authentic and genuine worship. Despite of her nothingness and being a nobody before the Lord, she was chosen to be the mother of the son of God, Jesus Christ.

May we be like the Blessed Virgin Mary who is happy with nothing to be proud of except for being a faithful disciple of God.

On the 6th day of the Novena Mass, August 21, 2026, Rev. Fr. Romarth Reysan C. Cabase presided over the Holy Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Ocaña.

In his homily, Fr. Romarth reflected on the call to “restore all things in Christ.” He reminded us that, as Filipinos, we can sometimes become too comfortable with what we are used to. At times, we may also be afraid of changes and situations that are beyond our control. However, true renewal requires the courage to take initiative and to respond to the needs of the Church.

He also highlighted the example of St. Pius X, who was not afraid to take action for the renewal of the Church. True renewal, however, does not simply come from our own efforts—it begins with Christ. The deepest source of renewal is our constant encounter and communion with Him, especially through the Holy Eucharist.

As we continue our journey as a parish, may we always remember the principle of going back to the basics: going back to Christ, returning to the source of our faith, and allowing Him to renew our hearts and our Church.

Back to the basics. Back to Christ.
