TODAY’s GMRC | Strive To Draw Closer To God

A person who is united with God cannot be shaken by any storm.
Storms in life are unavoidable. Sometimes they come as sickness, financial difficulties, disappointments, family problems, failures, or uncertainty about the future.

But a person whose heart is deeply rooted in God discovers something beautiful: storms may shake life, but they do not destroy hope.

Being united with God does not mean life becomes free from problems. It means that even in the middle of difficulties, we remain peaceful because we know we are not facing them alone.

The Word of God reminds us: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear” (Psalm 46:1–2).

The wind may blow. The rain may fall. The waves may rise. But the person who stays close to God remains standing.

So do not only pray for an easier life. Pray for a deeper union with God. Because a person united with God cannot be shaken by any storm.

TODAY’s GMRC | Choose Your Leaders Wisely

People often complain about corrupt and dishonest leaders. But we should also have the courage to ask ourselves: Did we help create this problem?

When people sell their votes, they should not be surprised if leadership is later sold to the highest bidder.

A vote is not merchandise. It is a sacred responsibility and an act of love for future generations.
Scripture says: “Whatever a person sows, this he will also reap”
(Galatians 6:7).

If we choose leaders based on money, favors, or temporary gain, we should not be surprised if we harvest disappointment.
If we want honest leaders, we must also become honest voters.

The future of a nation depends not only on those who lead, but also on those who choose them.

TODAY’s GMRC | Let Us Choose Our Leaders Wisely

The leaders we have today often reflect the choices we made as a people. Elections are not only political events; they are also moral responsibilities. Every vote carries consequences—not only for ourselves, but for the future of our children, our communities, and our nation.

Sometimes we complain about corruption, dishonesty, or poor leadership, yet during elections, many are easily influenced by popularity, money, empty promises, or blind loyalty. Democracy suffers when conscience is replaced by convenience.

As Christians, voting should never be done carelessly. It must be guided by truth, wisdom, prayer, and concern for the common good. Before supporting a candidate, we should ask: Is this person honest? Competent? Compassionate? God-fearing? Does this leader truly care for the people, especially the poor?

The next election is not just another political exercise. It is an opportunity for conversion as a nation. May we learn to choose leaders not only with our emotions, but with informed minds and formed consciences.

As Proverbs 29:2 reminds us: “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan.”

May God guide our nation and awaken in every citizen the courage to choose what is true, just, and good.

TODAY’s GMRC | Be Sincere In Everything You do

Today, many people are becoming more aware of the danger of plastic waste. A single plastic bottle thrown carelessly into nature can pollute rivers, harm animals, and damage the environment for many years.

But there is another kind of pollution that is equally dangerous—the pollution caused by “plastic” people: people who are fake, dishonest, pretentious, and untrustworthy. A plastic person smiles in front of you but destroys you behind your back. They pretend to care, but their intentions are selfish. And just as plastic waste slowly damages the earth, fake relationships slowly damage families, friendships, workplaces, and communities.

God calls us to be sincere, truthful, and authentic. The world already has enough deception. What people need today are men and women whose words can be trusted and whose love is genuine.

The Bible says: “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good” (Romans 12:9).

Let us reduce not only plastic waste in the environment, but also plastic attitudes in the heart. A clean world needs sincere people.

TODAY’s GMRC | Let God be God

Many times in life, we try to force things to happen according to our own plans. But faith reminds us that we are not the ones fully in control—God is.

If the Lord does not will something, no amount of pressure, power, or effort can make it truly succeed. Sometimes, closed doors are actually God’s way of protecting us.

But if the Lord truly wills something, no obstacle, criticism, or opposition can stop it. What comes from God will find its way in His perfect time.

That is why we must learn to pray, work hard, and surrender. Trust God not only when He says “yes,” but also when He says “wait” or “no.”

As Scripture says: “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails” (Proverbs 19:21).

Peace comes when we stop forcing our will and start trusting God’s will.

TODAY’s GMRC | Be Contented And Grateful

Some people have little in life yet remain peaceful and happy. Others may have wealth, success, and many possessions, yet still feel empty inside.

Why? Because a person who lacks contentment will never feel satisfied.

The heart that is always comparing, always complaining, and always craving for more eventually becomes tired and restless.

“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have” (Hebrews 13:5).

Contentment does not mean stopping our dreams or refusing to work hard. It means learning to appreciate God’s blessings while living with gratitude and peace.

True wealth is not having everything we want. True wealth is having a heart that knows how to say: “Thank You, Lord. What I have today is already a blessing.”

Sometimes, the poorest person in the world is not the one who has little—but the one who is never content with what he already has.

TODAY’s GMRC | Discipline Your Children For Tomorrow
Many parents want to make their children happy, but real love is not giving everything a child wants. Real love also corrects, guides, and disciplines.

A child who grows up without discipline may also grow up without direction. Failure to discipline your child now can become a source of pain and headaches later on.

Discipline is not hatred. Discipline is love that is willing to correct.

“Whoever loves their children disciplines them” (Proverbs 13:24).
Children need more than gadgets, money, and comfort. They need values, boundaries, good example, and prayer.

Correct them while they are still young, because values planted early become character later on.

One day, your children may forget the things you bought for them, but they will remember the values and discipline that prepared them for life.

Choose A Virtuous Spouse

Do not look for a spouse adorned with jewels. Jewels may shine for a moment, but they do not guarantee a lasting love.

Look instead for one who is rich in virtues—kindness that does not fade, patience that endures trials, faith that remains steady, and a heart that knows how to love God.

Because beauty can attract, but character is what sustains.

A good relationship is not built on appearances, but on values—on respect, sacrifice, forgiveness, and faith.

In the end, it is not what a person wears that matters, but who that person is. As Scripture reminds us: “Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised” (Proverbs 31:30).

Choose not what merely shines;
choose what will last.”

TODAY’s GMRC | Trust God’s “No”

Not every prayer will receive a “Yes.” Sometimes God answers with “Wait.” Sometimes He answers with “No.”

And when that happens, faith invites us not to become bitter, but to remain trusting.

Why? Because God sees what we cannot see. What we ask for may not always be good for us, or perhaps God is preparing something better in His perfect time.

That is why even when the answer is “No,” we can still say, “Thank You, Lord.” Thank You for protecting me. Thank You for guiding me. Thank You for loving me enough not to give me everything I want.

Jeremiah 29:11 says: “For I know well the plans I have for you… plans to give you a future full of hope.”

Many times, the prayers God did not answer were also blessings.

If the answer to your prayer is “No,” tell the Lord, “Thank you.” Trust that He has something better prepared for you.
