A healthy church is not measured by its size, activities, or accomplishments, but by its relationship with Jesus Christ. In Colossians 2:6โ7, Paul reminds believers to continue walking in Christ, remaining faithful to His teachings, and standing firm against false teachings. A healthy church is a church that walks with Him. A church that makes God part of its everyday life, continues to serve Him, and faithfully meditates on His Word. We cannot truly walk with someone we do not know, and we cannot remain faithful to Christ if His Word is not deeply rooted in our lives. Just as strong roots keep a tree standing through storms, being rooted in Godโs Word gives us strength to remain firm despite trials, challenges, and difficulties. The more we walk with Christ, the deeper and stronger our relationship with Him becomes.
A healthy church is also a church that is rooted and built up in Him and abounding in thanksgiving. Our foundation must always be Christ because without Him, we cannot stand or survive. When our lives are firmly established in Him, we are strengthened to face every season with faith and confidence. And when we truly walk with the Lord, thanksgiving naturally becomes part of our lives. Even in difficult circumstances, we can still give thanks because we know that God remains faithful. May we continue to be a church that walks faithfully with Christ, grows deeper in His Word, stands firm in every trial, and overflows with gratitude. When God is our highest priority, we can trust that everything else will fall into its proper place according to His will.
