39th General Assembly
Dominican Formators’ Conference of the Philippines (DFCP)

Continuing the longstanding spirit of shared mission and collaboration within the Dominican Family in the Philippines, the Dominican Formators’ Conference of the Philippines (DFCP) will hold its 39th General Assembly on August 17–22, 2026, at the Holy Rosary Prayer and Reflection Center, Calumpang, Molo, Iloilo City.

This year’s assembly will feature Br. Fermin Paniza, OH, who will accompany participants in deepening their journey in psycho-spiritual formation, fostering a more integrated understanding of the human and spiritual dimensions of the ministry of formation.

Rev. Fr. Allan Talavera’s homily reminds us of the importance of BEING ALONE with God. In silence, we can pray, reflect, and learn to depend on Him. It also reminds us not to become too attached to comfort and convenience. We must know how to do simple things like cooking, cleaning the toilet, and washing the dishes. Because the secret of a happy life is to live simply.

In today’s digital world, people often share almost everything about their lives on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and other social media. But not everything needs to be shared. Some things are better kept private and shared only with God.

The life of St. Dominic also teaches us that doing what is right will not always make people happy. Sometimes, people may dislike us when we tell the TRUTH or correct them. But St. Dominic remained faithful to God and continued to preach the TRUTH.

Following God is not always about being liked by everyone. It is about choosing what is right.

May the example of St. Dominic inspires everyone to live SIMPLY, love the TRUTH, and have the courage to do what is RIGHT.
