Dominican Sisters of Our Lady of Peace Welcome, this is the official Facebook account of the Dominican Sisters of Our Lady of Peace!

We, the Dominican Sisters of Our Lady of Peace, a community of Filipino women called by God the Father, inspired by the Holy Spirit, sustained by the Eucharist and the Word of God, living faithfully our Dominican heritage under the mantle of Mary, our Lady of Peace, commit ourselves to follow Christ the Preacher in His compassionate love for the ignorant and passion for the truth and to contribute

to the Church's mission of evangelization through preaching and witnessing. see also: http://dominicansisterstarlac.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.htmlCached

And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them,
“Receive the Holy Spirit.
Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them,
and whose sins you retain are retained.”
(John 20:19-23)

Take home wisdom from the Homily of Rev. Fr. Romel Vergara:

"Help please, I cannot breathe!"
Every time we cannot breathe because we are suffocated by our different fears, we should not look for food, material things, or group of friends for us to be pacified. Let us go to our own Sisters, there we can find the peace that we are looking for. Our Sisters are the instruments of the Holy Spirit to breathe on us and give us strength.

Breathe on me, Breath of God,
fill me with life anew,
that I may love the way you love,
and do what you would do.

Breathe on me, Breath of God,
until my heart is pure,
until my will is one with yours,
to do and to endure.

Breathe on me, Breath of God,
so shall I never die,
but live with you the perfect life
for all eternity.
(Psalter Hymnal, 1987)

Happy Pentecost Sunday!

Brothers and sisters:
No one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the holy Spirit.
There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit;
there are different forms of service but the same Lord;
there are different workings but the same God
who produces all of them in everyone.
To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit
is given for some benefit.

As a body is one though it has many parts,
and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body,
so also Christ.
For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free persons,
and we were all given to drink of one Spirit.
(Romans 12:3b-7, 12-13)

The Diocese of Tarlac together with the Live Christ, Share Christ, will gather hearts on a journey of faith, mission, and communion.

This year’s theme: LAKBAY- SAMA; a call to journey together as one Church, walking side by side, growing in faith, and bringing Christ to others.

Come and be part of this movement of new evangelization. ❤️‍🔥
