Tolenti𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪𝗦 | 𝗔 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟭

𝟵 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘀!

Did you know that an old bell of the Capas church was cast in 1812 and bore the inscription “San Nicolas de Tolentino Año 1812”? About 199 years later, in 2011, a new bell, bearing the same name San Nicolas de Tolentino was donated by Mr. Joven Yalung during the tenure of Msgr. Francisco Tañedo, whose name, together with the donor’s name, is inscribed on the new bell.

𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀’ 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗧𝗮𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿

As part of the Altar Servers’ Month Celebration 2026, the Kayanakan nang Apung Kulas – Parish Youth Apostolate gathered the young people and altar servers for a meaningful Taizé Prayer, creating a peaceful moment of silence, prayer, reflection, and communion with God.

Through simple chants, Scripture, silence, and meditation, the young people were invited to slow down, listen to God’s voice, and open their hearts to His presence.

May this prayerful gathering remind us that in the midst of our busy lives and service, we are always called to be still, pray, and remain close to Christ.

As part of our Altar Servers’ Month Celebration 2026, the Kayanakan nang Apung Kulas – Parish Youth Apostolate shared a simple yet meaningful time of snacks, fellowship, and joyful moments with our altar servers and young people.

Beyond serving at the altar, we are called to build a community where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and connected. Through simple moments like these, we strengthen our friendships and celebrate the joy of serving together.

“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” — Matthew 18:20

May our fellowship remind us that service becomes more meaningful when we serve, pray, and journey together as one Kayanakan.

As part of the Altar Servers’ Month Celebration 2026, the Kayanakan nang Apung Kulas – Parish Youth Apostolate conducted a Youth Formation, providing our young people with an opportunity to deepen their faith, discover their role in the parish community, and understand the steps toward becoming responsible and active youth in the Church.

Through this journey, may our young people continue to grow in faith, build meaningful friendships, embrace service, and become witnesses of Christ in the community.

As part of the celebration of Altar Servers’ Month 2026, the Kayanakan nang Apung Kulas – Parish Youth Apostolate conducted a Reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, offering prayers, sacrifices, and acts of devotion in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

May this devotion deepen our love for Mary, strengthen our faith, and inspire us, especially our altar servers and young people, to remain faithful in prayer and joyful in service to God and His Church.

Tolenti𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪𝗦 | 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟴𝟳𝟲 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗹

𝟭𝟬 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘀!

Did you know that San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish in Capas has recorded historic bells dating back to 1812 and 1876? The largest recorded bell was cast in 1876 and dedicated to Nuestra Señora del Carmen, bearing the inscription “Ntra. Sra. del Carmen año de 1876,” during the time of Fr. Miguel Garcia del Carmen, O.R.S.A., who was the cura of Capas.
