Canlubang Ward is Excited in Going to the Temple✨

On March 26, 2026, The Canlubang Ward was filled with joy and anticipation as brothers and sisters prepared for the Relief Society and Elders Quorum temple trip to the Alabang Temple. With 12 reserved slots for the sacred ordinance of endowment, members eagerly listed their names and committed to join. The group gathered early at 7-Eleven Mayapa, united in purpose and excitement to enter the house of the Lord.

In preparation, members were encouraged to use their FamilySearch accounts to bring names of their ancestors for proxy ordinances. This sacred invitation strengthened their sense of purpose, as many came ready with printed names. The Relief Society sisters showed Christlike love by assisting elderly members with their dead ancestors.

One inspiring example of faith and excitement was Sister Lani, who arrived at the meeting place a day early because of her eagerness to attend the temple. Members who had vehicles generously offered rides, showing unity and selfless service.

On that same day, our missionary in the field had the opportunity to tour the Davao Philippines Temple, making it a truly remarkable and spiritual day for both the saints and those serving in the field. 🙏🏻

“Lifting and strengthening each other through Christlike love.”

Our Ministering Caravan on March 15, 2026 was a success.

The ward council, leaders, and youth of the Canlubang Ward united as ministering brothers and sisters, linking arms to serve members across Palo Alto, Majada, Sirang Lupa, Asia, Canlubang/Nuvali, and nearby areas. With love and dedication, they visited the elderly, reached out to members in their homes and workplaces, and shared simple “tokens of love” such as cookies, Come Follow Me manual, and Primary book. Despite distance and challenges, members used their own vehicles and commuted just to ensure no one was forgotten.

This effort reflects the teachings from the October 2025 General Conference, reminding us that ministering is a sacred responsibility to care for one another in personal and meaningful ways. Leaders emphasized that true ministering is seeing others as the Savior does and serving them one by one, while also encouraging members to move forward in unity—lifting and strengthening each other through Christlike love.

The Ministering Caravan became a powerful example of these principles in action. Through unity, sacrifice, and sincere service, the ward strengthened bonds, uplifted individuals, and deepened testimonies—showing that as we link arms and minister with love, we truly become instruments in the Lord’s hands.

“Let us continue to study Come, Follow Me daily and face our challenges with faith and purpose.”

✨ Come, Follow Me Reflection | March 2026 ✨

We are inspired by the testimony and experience of Sister Chezka Tandiman as she shares how Come, Follow Me has strengthened her as a Young Single Adult (YSA).

“Studying Come, Follow Me in the morning—particularly the story of Joseph’s faith and integrity—helps me be more prepared for the day ahead, especially in handling unexpected challenges at work.”

Reflecting on the life of Joseph, she shared:

“He endured trials and false accusations, but in the end, he became a way to save people from famine.”

This powerful example reminds us that challenges are part of our journey, but with faith, patience, and trust in the Lord, they can shape us for a greater purpose.

As a team leader, she also shared:

“The challenge I face at work is handling demanding projects and working with clients who may not have the same values as we do. I am inspired by Joseph to help my teammates through patience and compassion.”

Her experience also blesses her calling as a Young Women adviser, guiding her to lead with Christlike love.

Her photo at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City reminds us of the upcoming 196th Semiannual General Conference this April—a special opportunity to receive guidance and inspiration.

✨ Charity Never Faileth ✨

On March 14, 2026, Canlubang Ward Relief Society celebrates the 184th Relief Society Anniversary which was successfully held at Makiling Chapel, with 26 Relief Society sisters in attendance. The activity was both uplifting and enjoyable, strengthening unity and faith among the sisters.

The program began with an energizing Zumba session that brought excitement and laughter to everyone. This was followed by group games organized by age category, where all participants actively joined and shared moments of fun and camaraderie.

A meaningful highlight of the activity was the video presentation prepared by each ward, focusing on the importance of ministering. It served as a reminder of the sacred responsibility of Relief Society sisters to show Christlike love, care, and support for one another.

The sisters also enjoyed creating a TikTok entry, dancing together to a song by Taylor Swift, which added fun, creativity, and excitement to the celebration.

The sisters came together in singing “Hawak Kamay” while holding cupcakes bearing the official Relief Society motto, “Charity Never Faileth.” The joy and smiles seen throughout the activity reflected the strong bond and happiness shared within the organization.

Overall, the activity reinforced the theme from 1 Corinthians 13:8, reminding each sister to continue living a life of charity—by helping those in need, strengthening families, increasing faith, and reaching out to those who may need encouragement to return and stay on the covenant path. 💛

Serving with Love: A Missionary Update from Elder Garcia

Grateful to share an inspiring update from our missionary in the Philippines Baguio Mission, Elder Garcia 🙏

For the past 14 months in the field, he has served with 6 different companions—and through it all, he has learned a powerful principle: to truly love your companion as Christ would.

He shared that becoming a good companion starts with simple but meaningful acts—praying for them, praising them, and constantly motivating them. He always asks himself, “If Jesus Christ were my companion, how would I show my love to Him?” That mindset helped him serve with greater patience, charity, and dedication.

One touching experience he shared was helping a companion who was struggling and close to going home early. Through sincere love and giving his full effort, he was able to lift and strengthen him to continue his mission. Truly, living the commandment “Love thy neighbor as thyself” brings lasting impact—not only in this life, but in the life to come.

In his one year of missionary service, Elder Garcia has seen how the mission continues to change him. Serving now in Baguio and La Trinidad, he has grown in patience, love, and his personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He shared that he can no longer go a day without thinking of the Savior.

One of his favorite miracles was meeting someone who told them, “Kayo yung hinahanap ko at pinagdadasal ko.” They didn’t find him—but he found them. A reminder that when we strive to reflect Christ, people who are seeking Him will come.

We’re excited to welcome him back to the Canlubang Ward in 10 months! Patuloy lang sa paglilingkod, Elder Garcia—we are proud of you!

✨ Ward Family Home Evening Friday Special
📅 March 13, 2026

Through words, we can express our love to our friends, kakilala, and loved ones. As we strive to say kind words to one another, it reflects how we think and influences the actions we give in everything we do. This meaningful theme became even more special as the Canlubang Saints lovingly prepared food and created a joyful atmosphere, making the Friday Special truly warm, welcoming, and memorable for everyone. 💖

Last Friday’s Ward Family Home Evening was truly uplifting. Bro. Dan shared how this special gathering strengthened his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

As someone who has only been in the ward for a few months, he expressed how meaningful it was to feel included and connected. Despite his busy schedule as a student, this FHE reminded him to stay strong in his faith and to keep the Savior at the center of his life.

He shared that in gatherings like this, we can truly feel the presence of the Lord—because whenever His people gather, He is there. The love, kindness, and fellowship he felt became a source of strength and encouragement.

He also testified that there is no other place where we can feel this kind of belonging and unity than in the Lord’s Church. Truly, moments like this help us grow spiritually and draw closer to Him.

Canlubang Ward | Mission Call Announcement

Last March 1, Fast and Testimony Sunday, under the direction of Bishop Merdegia, Bro. Rednz Cubano joyfully announced that he has been called to serve in the Philippines General Santos Mission, and he will enter the Missionary Training Center on June 26, 2026. 🙏

In his testimony, he shared that receiving his mission call brought him great joy as he accepted the opportunity to serve the Lord and participate in His marvelous work. As he prepares for his mission, he is studying the Cebuano language and strengthening his spiritual preparation. This experience has also inspired his family to be more united in faith through weekly Come, Follow Me study and daily prayer.

He testified that missionary service is an opportunity to draw closer to Jesus Christ and help others come unto Him. Despite challenges and opposition, he expressed faith that through the guidance of the Holy Ghost and by trusting in the Savior, the Lord will provide a way for His work to move forward.

We support and pray for Bro. Rednz as he prepares to represent Jesus Christ and share His gospel with others. ❤️

"Regular temple worship brings blessings..."

On Feb 26, 2026 Canlubang Ward EQ & RS were on the Alabang Temple Trip.

Even with busy schedules, the members of the Canlubang Ward continue to show that the temple remains one of the highest priorities in their discipleship.

As preparations for the temple trip began, messages filled the group chats—members coordinating schedules, reserving ordinance slots, arranging transportation, and helping one another make the journey possible.

Some shared that they would come from different places after work, while others had family responsibilities that prevented them from joining. Still, their desire to support the work of the Lord was evident. Members offered to give up their slots for others, arranged carpools, and even volunteered their vehicles so more brothers and sisters could attend.

Through simple messages like “Sasabay ako sa inyo,” or “Pwede ko kayo isakay sa car ko,” the spirit of unity and service was felt. With 16 reserved slots for temple ordinances, the Relief Society and Elders Quorum members organized meet-up times, transportation, and even shared the cost for gas and toll—showing how the Saints work together to prioritize sacred worship.

This experience reminds us that going to the temple is not just an individual effort, but a collective act of faith and commitment. Despite daily responsibilities, members willingly make sacrifices to participate in the ordinances of the Lord’s house.

As Dallin H. Oaks taught in the October 2025 General Conference:

“Regular temple worship brings blessings of greater spiritual strength, increased faith, and a deeper connection with the Lord and our families.”

Grateful for the faith and unity of the Saints as they continue to make the temple a central part of their lives.

💘Building Christ-centered homes💘

On February 28, our Young Single Adults attended the Calamba Stake YSA Devotional at the Makiling Chapel at 3:00 PM.

The devotional centered on the theme found in Moses 6:34:

“And thou shalt abide in me, and I in you; therefore walk with me”

Later that day, the YSA’s gathered again for a special Valentine’s activity titled “Love in Red and Denim” from 5:00–7:00 PM. The activity focused on strengthening friendships, learning about Christ-centered relationships, and preparing for future eternal families.

Brother John Michael Clouie shared how meaningful the activity was for him as a Young Single Adult:

“This activity helped me broaden my perspective—not only about finding an eternal companion, but also about building a strong and happy family centered on Jesus Christ. It reminded me that preparing for an eternal family begins with strengthening our relationship with the Savior and striving to follow His teachings in our daily lives.”

Activities like these help our YSA’s grow spiritually, strengthen their values, and build friendships with others who share the same goal—to build homes centered on Jesus Christ.

Our Youth had a meaningful experience last February 25, 2026 as they visited the Alabang Temple to perform Proxy Baptisms.

They brought the names of their ancestors to receive sacred ordinances and also helped perform ordinances for the ancestors of other members. Even at a young age, they are learning the importance of the temple and family history work.

With the guidance of their leaders and bishopric, they are building a habit of going to the temple and participating in the work of salvation on both sides of the veil. We are grateful for these youth who are willing to serve and remember their ancestors.

✨ “As you participate in temple and family history work, you gather Israel on both sides of the veil.” — Russell M. Nelson

✨ “The temple lies at the center of strengthening our faith and spiritual foundation.” — Russell M. Nelson

The temple truly helps connect families across generations. 💛

✨ A Sacred Baptism in Canlubang Ward ✨

On February 22, 2026, Canlubang Ward joyfully witnessed the baptism of a Child of Record, Sister Jasmine Carreon. With the theme, “Turn to God and be baptized, and you will receive the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38), the Spirit was truly present in this sacred ordinance.

She was baptized by Brother Rednz, our Ward Mission Leader and future full-time missionary — a beautiful example of faithful service and dedication to the Lord’s work.

Parents in Zion have the sacred responsibility of teaching and training their children in righteousness. As taught in Doctrine and Covenants 68:25, children are to understand the doctrine of repentance, faith in Christ the Son of the Living God, and of baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands when they reach eight years old — the age of accountability. This teaching is to be done while they are innocent and sin-free, for the Lord declared that the responsibility rests upon the parents.

Through the loving efforts of our Primary Leaders and the Bishopric, our children are guided and prepared to make sacred covenants with God. Truly, the Lord watches over His little ones and leads them back to Him, one faithful step at a time. 🤍✨
