Today, as Reyna Sentenciada, I walk not only in beauty and grace, but in faith, sacrifice, and hope. My title reminds us that even in moments of suffering, judgment, and trials, God’s mercy and love remain greater than all pain.
This Santacruzan 2026 is more than a celebration of tradition—it is a reflection of our devotion, unity, and unwavering faith. Through the guidance of St. Vincent Ferrer Parish and the loving community of St. Anthony de Padua Chapel, may this sacred celebration continue to inspire every heart to remain strong in times of hardship and faithful in every season of life.
With humility and gratitude, I offer this participation to our Blessed Mother, to our parish and chapel community, and to everyone who continues to support and preserve this sacred tradition.

Reyna Sentenciada is one of the symbolic queens (“reynas”) in the Filipino Catholic tradition of the Santacruzan or Santa Cruzan, the grand procession held during Flores de Mayo. She represents the innocent who were condemned or unjustly accused, symbolizing suffering, sacrifice, and the search for justice. She is traditionally portrayed with hands bound by rope or chains and accompanied by Roman soldiers.

In the procession, she reminds the faithful of:

endurance during trials,
faith amid suffering,
and hope for justice and redemption.

The title comes from the Spanish word sentenciada, meaning “condemned” or “sentenced.” The word reyna means “queen.”

Out of 13 beautiful and inspiring Sagala representatives, our representative humbly placed 6th in this year’s Santa Cruzan – Flores de Mayo.

We are also proud to share that she will carry the meaningful title of Reyna Sentenciada, representing faith, strength, sacrifice, and devotion.

This journey became extra special because of the endless love, prayers, and support from everyone who believed in and supported our cause for our chapel and parish. Every share, donation, and prayer truly meant so much to us.
