​Today, our faith found a deeper voice and a renewed home. The St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Camiling, Tarlac, came alive with profound devotion as parishioners and pilgrims gathered to honor our heavenly patron. The Holy Mass was solemnly celebrated by Most Rev. Florentino Ferrer Cinense, D.D.
​Marking this milestone in our spiritual journey, the official Decree declaring the celebration of the 185th Foundation Anniversary Jubilee of the parish was solemnly read. Adding to the historic joy of the day, the community witnessed the reading of the declaration by the Reverend Chancery, the exposition and enshrinement of the sacred relic, and the official unveiling of the new parish logo and the 185th Anniversary logo, ushering in a year-long celebration of grace, heritage, and unwavering faith.

DECREE
DECLARING THE CELEBRATION OF THE 185TH FOUNDATION ANNIVERSARY
JUBILEE OF ST. MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL PARISH, CAMILING, TARLAC
'Remember the days of old; consider the years ofmany generations; ask your father, and he will
show you, your elders, and lhey will tell you. " (Deuteronomy 32:7)
Our heart overflows with gratitude to Almighty God as we look back upon the rich spiritual
journey of our local Church. The story of our faith is a living testimony to the loving providence
of God, who guides His pilgrim people through every generation.
WHEREAS, historical research and data presented affirm that in the year of our Lord 1841, the
Dominican Friars, zealous laborers in the Lord's vineyard, established the Parish of St. Michael
the Archangel in Camiling, planting seeds of the Gospel that have grown into a vibrant tree of
faith;
WHEREAS, the year 2026 brings us to the 185th Foundation Anniversary ofthis sanctuary of
grace, recalling the words of the Psalmist, "Ihe Lord has done great rhingsfor us, and we are
filled with joy" (Psalm 126:3);
WHEREAS, a milestone of such spiritual magnitude invites us not merely to look back with
gratitude, but to move forward with renewed hope, drawing inspiration from our patron, St.
Michael the Archangel, who calls us to remain steadfast in the spiritual battle and faithful to the
Gospel ofChrist;
NOW, THEREFORE, having prayerfully considered the spiritual welfare ofthe flock entrusted
to our care, and in union with the clergy and faithful of Camiling, We hereby DECREE and
PROCLAIM:
I. Historical Affirmation: The year 1841 is solemnly recognized as the historical
year of foundation ofthe Parish of St. Michael the Archangel in Camiling, Tarlac.
Declaration of the Jubilee Year: A Jubilee Celebration Of the 185th
Foundation Anniversary is hereby proclaimed for the entire parish community,
as a time of special grace, reconciliation, and spiritual renewal (cf. Leviticus
25:10).
III. Sacred Period: The Jubilee Year shall formally open on September 29, 2026
the Solemnity of the Archangels, and shall solemnly close on May 8, 2027,
the Feast Of the Finding Of the Holy Cross and the beloved town fiesta Of
Camiling.
IV. Pastoral Exhortation: I exhort all the faithful during this holy season to
deepen their prayer life, encounter Christ in the Sacraments, especially
Reconciliation and the Holy Eucharist, and extend hands of mercy to the poor
and marginalized, for Iaith wilhout works is dead" (James 2:26).
May our Blessed Mother Mary, Our Lady of Peace, and St. Michael the Archangel protect your
families, strengthen your faith, and guide this parish into a future filled with hope

Memorial of Holy Guardian Angels

Today, the Church celebrates the Memorial of the Holy Guardian Angels a beautiful and comforting Catholic teaching that reminds us we are never truly alone.

While this devotion may have faded somewhat in modern times, many of us hold fond, nostalgic memories from childhood. Growing up, especially during our elementary school days, reciting the traditional Angel of God prayer together before leaving the classroom was a daily rhythm that anchored our hearts in faith. It taught us from a young age that heaven is intimately invested in our daily lives.

From the moment of our birth to our final breath, our Guardian Angels surround us with watchful care, protecting us from physical and spiritual harm.

Just as our heavenly guardians watch over us, we are called to be earthly angels to one another. As parents, teachers, and fellow Christians, our words, kindness, and support can lift someone up in their hour of need.

The ultimate mission of every Guardian Angel is to point us toward Christ, whispering inspirations to our souls and guiding our footsteps safely along the path to heaven.

"Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen."

September 29 | Feast of the Archangels

Today, we celebrate the Feast of the Archangels, who are the messengers and servants of God. They remind us that God is always present and that He sends them to guide, protect, and lead us people closer to Him.

The archangels are honored for their special roles in carrying out God’s mission. Their lives and service remind us to trust God, remain faithful, and be willing to serve others with love.

May we always remember that we are never alone in our journey of faith.

𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰??: The word “archangel” comes from the Greek word archangelos, meaning a chief angel or principal messenger.
