The Concelebrated Mass was led by the 𝗥𝗘𝗩. 𝗠𝗦𝗚𝗥. 𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗢𝗡 𝗖. 𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗤𝗨𝗘𝗗 𝗝𝗥., 𝗣𝗖, 𝗝𝗖𝗗, Vicar General for Formation of the Diocese of Legazpi. The Holy Mass was concelebrated by the other priests of the diocese.

In his homily, Msgr. Tronqued highlighted the diocese’s theme, “𝗕𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗬𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗔𝗡, 𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗡 𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗨𝗦𝗨𝗚𝗢.” He also emphasized the generosity and unwavering support of the people of Cotmon and the barangays comprising the parish, whose collective efforts contributed greatly to the realization of the new parish church.

He reminded the faithful to live by the example of St. Lawrence the Martyr, whose life teaches us that the true wealth of the Church does not come from material possessions, but from its people—the faithful who generously give of themselves in service to God and others.

Right after the Holy Mass, the Raffle Draw and Baptism were held.

The Holy Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Jayson A. Piando during the 6:00 Fiesta Mass. In his homily, he reflected on the life and witness of St. Lawrence, highlighting his unwavering faith, service, and dedication to God and His people.

Anchoring his message on the diocesan theme for the 75th Diamond Jubilee Celebration, “Biniyayaan, Inaantabayan asin Sinusugo kan Kagurangnan,” Rev. Fr. Piando reminded the faithful of their calling to recognize God’s blessings, remain steadfast in hope, and faithfully respond to His mission. He encouraged everyone to follow the example of St. Lawrence by living a life of service, generosity, and commitment to the Church and the community.

St. Lawrence, deacon and Martyr Parish Hall

With grateful hearts and joyful spirits, the Vicariate of St. Gregory the Great comes together in celebration of Priests' day 2026, honoring the men who generously dedicate their lives to Christ and to the service of His people.

Held at St. Lawrence the Martyr in Cotmon, this meaningful celebration brings together our Clergy, parish lay leaders in thanksgiving for the priestly ministry.

The celebration was formally started with a prayer, led by the PPC Lay-Co Chair from St. Roch Parish followed by the welcome remarks from Fr. Jayson A. Piando, pastor of Cotmon Parish, and Ms. Delia Moral the parish lay-co Chair. The gathering was also blessed by the inspiring message from the Vicar Forane and Pastor of St. Gregory the Great Cathedral - Rev. Fr. Lyndon F. Balubar who reminded everyone of the beauty, responsibility and joy of serving God and His people.

Adding excitement and joy to the celebration was the Raffle draw, bringing smiles, and anticipation among our priests' and making the gathering even more memorable.

To our beloved priests,' thank you for saying "YES" to God's call. Thank you for your sacrifices, your prayers, your presence and your unwavering service to the Church and to the people of God.

May St. Gregory, St. Lawrence Martyr and Our Lady of Salvation, continue to intercede for our beloved Priests' and the entire Vicariate.
