RESPONSIBILITY AS GOOD STEWARDS | 1 Corinthians 3:10â13
đ 1 Corinthians 3:10
âBy the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder⊠But each one should build with care.â
Stewardship reminds us that we are not ownersâwe are entrusted builders. Every gift, talent, resource, time, and opportunity we have comes from God. Our calling is not to build for personal recognition, but to build something that creates Kingdom impact.
So, what does true stewardship look like?
â
Give Up Personal Ambition for Kingdom Impact
Paul begins with Godâs grace. A true steward recognizes that everything starts with what God has entrusted to us.
Our gifts are not for self-glorification but for serving others and advancing Godâs Kingdom.
Stewardship begins when we surrender personal ambition for Kingdom impact.
â
Accept the Role of a Builder, Not an Owner
Paul was a wise builder, yet he knew that the building did not belong to himâit belonged to God.
We are part of something bigger than ourselves, building upon what others have started and leaving something for those who come after us.
We build for God, not for personal credit.
â
Use Eternal Materials
Paul reminds us that our work will be tested. The question is not simply how much we build, but what kind of materials we use.
Our time, talents, resources, integrity, and sacrifices should be given with excellence and for Godâs glory.
Choose quality over convenience. Give God your best.
â
Demand Accountability and Integrity
âEach one should build with care.â
True stewardship requires us to live with accountability and integrity, knowing that one day we will give an account to God.
What we do for Christ must be done with the heart and character of Christ.
Build carefully because God sees the work behind the work.
đĄ Sermon Takeaway
Give Up. Accept. Use. Demand.
Give up personal ambition for Kingdom impact.
Accept your role as a builder, not an owner.
Use eternal materials by giving God your best.
Demand accountability and integrity in everything you do.
We are not the owners of the buildingâwe are wise builders under Godâs grace.
Every gift, every peso, every talent, and every breath is entrusted to us by the ultimate Owner.
Donât build for applause. Build for eternity.
