Is Sunday holy according to Acts 20:7-11?

In Acts 20:7-11, did the disciples actually worship on Sunday?
The Bible says, “Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight… Now when he had come up, had broken bread and eaten, and talked a long while, even till daybreak, he departed… Then we went ahead to the ship and sailed to Assos, there intending to take Paul on board; for so he had given orders, intending himself to go on foot” (Acts 20:7, 11, 13).

A late-night gathering
The apostle Paul was en route to Jerusalem. His ship stopped in Troas and, while waiting there for it to sail, he called together his converts and held a meeting. He preached until after midnight and then held the Communion with them.

The first day of the week
There is nothing mentioned here about holding a first-day service, thus indicating that that day was the Sabbath, otherwise when Paul held a meeting at Miletus on the following Wednesday (Acts 20:14-18) that service would have sanctified Wednesday also. But where is the Christian who keeps Wednesday for that reason?

Our Lord instituted the Communion on a Thursday night. If the Communion service makes a day holy, why are we not observing Thursday as the Sabbath? Furthermore, the Communion has no relation to the resurrection of Christ, but rather, refers to His death. "Ye do shew the Lord's death till he come" (1 Corinthians 11:26).

Breaking bread daily
In Acts 2:46, 47, we find the disciples breaking bread daily, but that does not make every day the Sabbath. Friend, let us remember that every institution incorporated in the new covenant was given before the death of Christ, not one after His resurrection. His last will and testament was sealed with His blood and it did not include first-day worship in commemoration of His resurrection.

What is His name?
If you have ever had a discussion with a Jehovah’s Witness, the first question you are likely to hear is this: “Do you know that God’s name is Jehovah?” The followers of the Sacred Name theory would argue back: “No, His name should be pronounced as YAHVEH.” They would even go further and assert that the name of “Jesus” is incorrect and should be pronounced as YAHOSHUA.
The answer to all these questions, of course, must come from the Bible. For starters, the issue of God’s name occurs for the first time in Exodus 3; the story of Moses’ encounter with God, who appeared to him from the burning bush. Both Jehovah’s Witnesses and the followers of the Sacred Name theory would refer to Exodus 3:15 as their most important proof text.
We need, however, to start two verses earlier, in verse 13, to understand what is going on. Verse 13 states: “Moses said to God, ‘When I come to the Israelites and say to them, “The God of your fathers has sent me to you,” and they ask me, “What is His name?” what shall I say to them?‘ ” God starts answering to Moses in verse 14, not in verse 15. “God said to Moses, ‘Ehyeh-Asher-Ehyeh.’ ” The Lord continued: “Thus shall you say to the Israelites, ‘Ehyeh sent me to you’ ” (Exod. 3:14,).
This Jewish translation is chosen in order to demonstrate how the traditional English rendering of this phrase “I am that I am” appears transliterated from the original Hebrew. In verse 14, God first calls Himself Ehyeh, not YAHWEH. This important point all but destroys the main argument of the Sacred Name, which asserts that God has a proper sacred name, YAHWEH.
God first calls Himself Ehyeh. What does this mysterious word, Ehyeh, mean?
Jesus’ example is very important. In most cultures, when a child calls a parent by their first name, it is considered as a sign of serious disrespect. Of course, we know our Father’s name, but would we call him by this name? If God is our Father, should we not use the example of His Son for our prayers?

Does the Catholic Church still maintain the doctrine that Sabbath day is Sunday?

From the Convert's Catechism of Catholic Doctrine maintain that Sabbath day is Sunday!

Look!

According to Gaspare de Fosso as quoted...We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday!

In his best-$eller, The Faith of Millions (1974), the Roman Catholic scholar John A. O'Brien came to this compelling conclusion: "Since Saturday, not Sunday, is specified in the Bible, isn't it curious that non- Catholics who profess to take Thier religion directly from the Bible and not from the Catholic church observe Sunday instead of Saturday? Yes, of course, it is inconsistent." The custom of Sunday observance he said, "rests upon the authority of the Catholic Church and not upon an explicit text in the Bible.

That observance remains as a reminder of the Mother Church from which the non- Catholic sects broke away- like a boy running away from home but still carrying in his pocket a picture of his mother or a lock of her hair.

Mark 12:31 (NRSV) The second is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
