▪️Seven (7) Biblical Marks of a QUALITY Member/Disciple:
1. LOVE
• John 13:35 NIV
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
2. OBEDIENCE
• Matthew 7:21, 24-27 NIV
[21] “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
[24] “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
[25] The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
[26] But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.
[27] The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
3. FRUIT
• Matthew 7:16-20 NIV
[16] By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
[17] Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
[18] A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.
[19] Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
[20] Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
• Galatians 5:22‑23 NIV
[22] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
[23] gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
4. HUMILITY & REPENTANCE
• 2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
• James 4:6, 10 NIV
[6] But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”
[10] Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
6. DEVOTION
• Romans 12:1-2 NIV
[1] Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
[2] Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
• Revelation 3:15-16 NIV
[15] I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!
[16] So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
6. PERSEVERANCE
• Matthew 13:20-21 NIV
[20] The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy.
[21] But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.
• Revelation 2:10 NIV
Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.
7. GOD’S GLORY
• 1 Corinthians 10:31 NIV
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
• Matthew 6:1-3 NIV
[1] “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
[2] “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
[3] But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
