The 20th SMI Biennial Convention may have ended, but the lessons, memories, and inspiration we gained will continue to guide us in faith and service. Through the inspiring talks of our speakers and the meaningful reflections of Fr. Jerome, we were reminded that true leadership begins with humility, peace starts within ourselves, and hope is a light we are called to share with others.

The SMI Batch 2026 Orientation marks the beginning of a meaningful journey of introduction and formation. Through this gathering, new members were welcomed into the sisterhood and guided on what it means to be part of the Squirettes of Mary Immaculate. Along with learning about the mission and values of SMI, the new members also participated in their first vocal training session, helping them develop their skills and prepare for future activities within the organization.

With the guidance of the Blessed Virgin Mary and her Son, Jesus Christ, this journey opens the door to new experiences, learning, and shared growth as each member takes their first steps in SMI.

Today, we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the apostlesโ€”a moment that filled their hearts with courage, wisdom, and faith. What once was fear was transformed into boldness, and through the power of the Spirit, they were strengthened to share Godโ€™s love with the world.

Today, Fatima remains one of the most significant Marian shrines in the world, reminding us that through prayer and penance, even the youngest among us can change the course of history. Back on 1917, against the backdrop of World War I, the Virgin Mary appeared six times to three humble shepherd childrenโ€”Lucia, Francisco, and Jacintaโ€”in Fatima, Portugal.

Her core mission for us was simple: pray the Rosary every day, offer up our personal sacrifices for those lost in sin, and find peace for our broken world through devotion to her Immaculate Heart. As Squirettes of Mary Immaculate, we will lead the Novena this week by praying the Rosary with our intentions in honor of the love and devotion of Our Lady of Fatima.
