JOHN 15:1-9
βI am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. βI am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Fatherβs glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. βAs the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.
Jesus reminds us in this passage that our spiritual life, growth, and fruitfulness all depend on our connection with Him. Apart from Christ, we can do nothing. But when we remain in Him, we grow, bear fruit, and experience deeper intimacy with God.

Three kinds of believers mentioned in the scripture:
β’ No Fruits- The Crowd
β’ Bear Fruits - The Believers
β’ Fruitful - The Friends/The Lovers
1. ππ ππππππ - πππ πΎππππΏ
JOHN 15:2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit
JOHN 15:6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.
This refers to people who may be around God, yet are not truly connected to Him.
β’ Find routine, not relationship.
β’ Loves the power not the presence
A person can attend church, hear the Word, and still remain spiritually disconnected if there is no true surrender and relationship with Jesus.
2. π½ππΌππ πππππ - π½ππππππππ
JOHN 15:2 β¦ while every branch that does not bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because if the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you
This stage represents believers who know God and experience Him, yet are still being shaped and refined by Him.
β’ Belief without surrender is dead
β’ Encounters God but stays there - encounters are not the DESTINATION, itβs an INVITATION.
β’ Donβt chase emotional high, look for the holy depths.
β’ Believers are SOMETIMES performative. You have the form but not the POWER.
God desires more than temporary encounters. He calls believers into daily surrender, transformation, and deeper communion with Him.
3. ππππππππ - πππ ππππππ
JOHN 15:7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Fatherβs glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
JOHN 15:15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his masterβs business. Instead, I have called you ππ§πππ£ππ¨, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
This is the picture of a life fully connected to Christ β a life marked by intimacy, obedience, and love.
β’ Intimacy with the Lord
β’ Friendship, relationship and Union with God
God is not only calling us to serve Him, but also to walk closely with Him as friends who know His heart.

1. If you remain in me and my WORDS REMAIN IN YOU ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
2. As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. NOW REMAIN IN MY LOVE. LOVE IS TIME. LOVE IS Communicationβ worship and prayer.
To remain in Christ means staying connected to Him daily through His Word, prayer, worship, and obedience.

ππ€ ππ§πͺππ©π¨ - The Crowd
π½πππ§ ππ§πͺππ©π¨ - The Believers
ππ§πͺππ©ππͺπ‘ - The Friends/ The Lovers
God is calling us beyond being part of the crowd and even beyond simply believing. He desires for us to become fruitful followers who walk closely with Him as friends and lovers of His presence. Through His Word, prayer, worship, and surrender, we learn to abide in Him and allow Him to transform our lives continually.
