It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bishop Emeritus René Henry Gracida. He served as the fifth Bishop of the Diocese of Corpus Christi from 1983 until 1997. We are deeply grateful for his faithful service as our shepherd of 14 years. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later time.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Last Thursday, April 16, 2026, the Faculty of Theology’s student, REV. FR. KIM HUNG NGUYEN, SOLT of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity, successfully defended his Licentiate Thesis entitled: “REDACTION-NARRATIVE CRITICISM OF THE PARABLE OF THE LOST SHEEP (LUKE 15:1-7):
AN APPROPRIATION OF MERCY TO CHRISTIANS IN IRREGULAR SITUATIONS IN VIETNAM.”

We congratulate Fr. Kim for this new milestone in his academic pursuit with the help of his adviser, Rev. Fr. Clarence Victor C. Marquez, O.P., SSL, S.Th.D.

VISITA IGLESIA 2026

On Holy Monday, as part of our yearly Holy Week tradition, our SOLT Manila team came together for Visita Iglesia. We thank God for a fruitful school year and the continuation of our mission especially, the gift of community that continues to unite and strengthen us.

Through this journey, we are reminded of His presence in our lives and in one another. As we prepare for Easter. May we continue to walk in faith, gratitude, and love.
