Sovereign Grace Reformed Baptist Church

Sovereign Grace Reformed Baptist Church Christ Crowned, Grace Enthroned

A local church in Camarin, Caloocan, Philippines, adhering to the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith.

Sovereign Grace Reformed Baptist Church (SGRBC) was formerly known as Sovereign Grace Community Church (SGCC). It began when the members and three (3) associate Pastors of Camarin Christian on Fire International Church (CCOFIC), were excommunicated from the said charismatic church on January 14, 2021. The strong stance on Reformed theology created a major rift with their Senior Pastor and father,

leading to the excommunication. On January 17, 2021, SGCC held its first fellowship, which included most of the members from CCOFIC who had decided to join the newly established church. From a pragmatic and seeker-sensitive charismatic church, SGCC became committed to gradually reforming the church practices, specifically in worship, liturgy, and theology, embracing the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. The church had recognized the need for assistance from an officially recognized Reformed Baptist church to oversee its practices, the faithful preaching and teaching of the Word, and to counsel its office bearers. In November 2023, Reformed Baptist Church of Malabon (RBCM) began to willingly engage as the oversighting church for SGCC. The church started with a plurality of three elders, unfortunately, over time, two of them left their office due to some ecclesiastical ethics and concerns, leaving Jonathan Orbe as the only remaining elder. Thereafter, the church decided to relocate to a property at Maligaya Parkland in January 2024. During these events, Chief Cornerstone Reformed Baptist Church (CCRBC), on the one hand, encountered geographical challenges that led them to the decision to assimilate some of their brethren to SGCC. On April 21, 2024, these brethren from CCRBC formally joined the SGCC church body. After several oversight meetings, counseling, and preachings to the church, RBCM has deemed it appropriate for SGCC to proceed to its covenanting and formal recognition as a Reformed Baptist church. On August 24, 2024, the church is officially named Sovereign Grace Reformed Baptist Church.

The humble heart receives the truth; the hardened heart remains in darkness.

A powerful takeaway from our Covenant Bible Reading tonight with Bro. Hermar Garcia on Matthew 13

"Ang mga parabula o talinghaga ay naghahayag ng katotohanan sa mga tunay na tumatanggap, ngunit itinatago naman ito sa mga taong pinatigas ang kanilang puso laban sa Hari."

The parables of Jesus are not just simple stories—they reveal the true condition of our hearts. May we always receive His Word with humility and faith, and never allow our hearts to be hardened against the rule of our King.

We praise and thank the Lord for the graduation of our beloved pastor, Pastor Jonathan Orbe, after completing his 4-year Bible seminary journey at the Grace Ministerial Academy!

Throughout these years of rigorous study, deep theological training, and pastoral preparation, God has proven Himself faithful. But more than the scholastic achievement, this milestone is a reminder of the true heart behind ministry. As Pastor Jonathan beautifully shared in his testimony:
“If the glory of God is not our motivation, then even the highest theological knowledge becomes empty noise.”

We rejoice with you, Pastor Jonathan! Our prayer is that the Lord will continue to use you mightily to shepherd His flock, handle the word of truth rightly, and preach the unsearchable riches of Christ—always driven by a consuming passion for His glory alone.

Soli Deo Gloria!

Our duty is faithfulness; God's promise is victory.

A powerful takeaway from our Covenant Bible Reading tonight with Dcn. Wayne Gamba on Matthew 10: "Ang awtoridad ni Hesus ang magdadala sa matagumpay na misyon."

The world remains in darkness without missions, but we do not go out in our own strength. Even when faced with trials or rejection, we can move forward with boldness because the reigning King holds all authority in heaven and on earth. The history is being written according to His purposes!

"Ang pagbibilang ng katuwiran sa makasalanan ay matatagpuan lamang sa pangalawang Adan "

In this sermon, Dea. Wayne Gamba explains the fall of man and the hope found in Christ. He examines the condition of man as the children of the first and second Adam. He teaches that our first parents, though created upright, fell into sin by the freedom of their will, bringing all humanity into a state of guilt and corruption in the first Adam. Yet God, in His grace, provides a second Adam: Christ, in whom righteousness is imputed to sinners. Thus, the message confronts us with two realities: our ruin in Adam and our redemption in Christ, calling us to rest in Him receive the gracious gift of justification.

"The Father's love is made more evident in us when we love our brethren."

In this sermon, Hermar Garcia examines the Christian's brotherly love. He shows that the love of God is most clearly seen in the life of the believer through love for fellow Christians. He teaches that this is not a new command, but one rooted in the very nature of God and fulfilled in Christ. Where the Father’s love abides, it produces light, fellowship, and genuine affection for others. Conversely, the absence of such love reveals a life still walking in darkness. Thus, the evidence of God’s love in us is seen in our obedience to love one another.

"Creation not only reveals the glory of God, but also demands the rightful response of man: worship and repentance."

In this sermon, Dea. Wayne Gamba draws from the Keach Baptist Catechism Q13 and its biblical references, to unfold the doctrine of creation. He teaches that God, by the Word of His power, made all things out of nothing, revealing His glory in all that exists. From this truth flows a necessary response: creation calls us to worship the Creator and to repent of our sin. For if God is the Maker of all, then all creation has purpose, and man is accountable to live in humble submission before Him.
