Sovereign Grace Reformed Baptist Church

Sovereign Grace Reformed Baptist Church Christ Crowned, Grace Enthroned

A local church in Camarin, Caloocan, Philippines, adhering to the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith.

Sovereign Grace Reformed Baptist Church (SGRBC) was formerly known as Sovereign Grace Community Church (SGCC). It began when the members and three (3) associate Pastors of Camarin Christian on Fire International Church (CCOFIC), were excommunicated from the said charismatic church on January 14, 2021. The strong stance on Reformed theology created a major rift with their Senior Pastor and father,

leading to the excommunication. On January 17, 2021, SGCC held its first fellowship, which included most of the members from CCOFIC who had decided to join the newly established church. From a pragmatic and seeker-sensitive charismatic church, SGCC became committed to gradually reforming the church practices, specifically in worship, liturgy, and theology, embracing the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. The church had recognized the need for assistance from an officially recognized Reformed Baptist church to oversee its practices, the faithful preaching and teaching of the Word, and to counsel its office bearers. In November 2023, Reformed Baptist Church of Malabon (RBCM) began to willingly engage as the oversighting church for SGCC. The church started with a plurality of three elders, unfortunately, over time, two of them left their office due to some ecclesiastical ethics and concerns, leaving Jonathan Orbe as the only remaining elder. Thereafter, the church decided to relocate to a property at Maligaya Parkland in January 2024. During these events, Chief Cornerstone Reformed Baptist Church (CCRBC), on the one hand, encountered geographical challenges that led them to the decision to assimilate some of their brethren to SGCC. On April 21, 2024, these brethren from CCRBC formally joined the SGCC church body. After several oversight meetings, counseling, and preachings to the church, RBCM has deemed it appropriate for SGCC to proceed to its covenanting and formal recognition as a Reformed Baptist church. On August 24, 2024, the church is officially named Sovereign Grace Reformed Baptist Church.

Christian Liberty must lead to holiness to glorify God, rather than a license for sinfulness in our bodies.

In this sermon, Ptr. Jonathan Orbe addresses the proper use of Christian liberty and the believer’s responsibility toward the physical body. He teaches that Christian freedom is not a license for sin, but a freedom that leads to holiness and the glory of God. Because our bodies are members of Christ, temples of the Holy Spirit, and purchased by the blood of Christ, what we do with them matters.

The redemption accomplished by Christ extends to the whole person—body and soul. Therefore, believers are called to pursue purity and use every part of their physical lives in worship and obedience to God. The question is not merely, “What am I free to do?” but, “How can I use my body to glorify the One who bought me?”

"Jesus' sacrifice gives us confidence to approach God and calls us to be faithful to Him and His church until the day of His return."

In this sermon, Dea. Rjay Vicente shows how the sacrifice of Jesus Christ gives sinners confident access to the presence of God. Through His blood, Christ has opened a new and living way, removing the barrier of sin and granting His people the privilege of drawing near to God with a sincere heart and full assurance of faith.

Because Christ has brought us near, let us draw near to God, hold fast to the faith, and faithfully walk with His people until the day of His appearing.

"The true disciple enters the narrow way of Christ by living in obedience to God and love towards others"

In this sermon, Dea. Rjay Vicente expounds Matthew 7:12–14, showing that the true disciple enters the narrow way of Christ through a life marked by obedience to God and love toward others. He teaches that kingdom living is expressed in a love that reflects the righteousness of God and in a deliberate decision to follow Christ despite the difficulty of the way.

SGRBC 2ND ANNIVERSARY HIGHLIGHTS

Here is a look back at the moments of praise, fellowship, and joy from our 2nd Anniversary celebration! From our solemn gathering around the preached Word to the shared smiles over meals, every photo captures the sustaining grace of God over Sovereign Grace Reformed Baptist Church.

We praise God for receiving the Word of the Lord through our guest preacher Pastor Eli Ephraim Cana of Reformed Baptist Church of Malabon that edified our church in remembering that the faithfulness of a church is where Christ rests, through seeing the beauty of Christ and being faithful in our private and corporate worship.

Swipe through the photos to see how the Lord blessed our time together! We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined, served, and prayed for this milestone.

As we step into another year of ministry, may our prayer remain steadfast: Lord, Make Us Faithful!

"Christian holy living reflects the hope that Christ reigns now and will bring final victory over death."

In this sermon, Ptr. Jonathan Orbe shows that the Christian’s hope rests upon the certainty of Christ’s present reign and His final victory over death. He unfolds two eschatological realities that characterize God’s appointed future: the revealed mystery of the believer’s transformation and the assured victory secured through Jesus Christ. Because death will be swallowed up in victory, believers are called to stand firm, abound in the work of the Lord, and live in light of the coming triumph of Christ.

"Make moral judgment with humility and grace, not with self-righteousness and pride."

In this sermon, Hermar Garcia emphasizes that Christians are called to make moral judgments. He considers Christ’s warning against hypocritical judgment and explains the qualification and process required before confronting the sins of others. Before seeking to remove the speck from our brother’s eye, we must first examine ourselves.

In this sermon, Aries Tibayan confronts the gravity of sin and the gracious provision of God for sinners. He considers the sharp rebuke against spiritual unfaithfulness, revealing the hostility between friendship with the world and devotion to God. Yet the passage does not leave the sinner without hope. In the face of human rebellion, God gives more grace, sufficient for the humble who turn to Him.
