God does not bring calamity into our lives.
John 10:10 says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the fullest.”
While Jesus desires to give us life, healing, restoration, and peace, we have always to remember there is something else out to kill, steal, and destroy us.
The heart of God is compassionate and full of mercy. His love does not change, even in the midst of difficult circumstances.
As Christians, we are called to reflect His heart by showing love, kindness, and prayer to those going through difficult times. It’s not our place to judge others but to carry their burdens in love and intercede on their behalf.
Prayer is the most powerful way to carry someone’s burden because it allows us to join forces with God Himself on their behalf. As we join forces with God, we step out of our ability and into His power. In Him, we resist and stand against Satan’s strategies and attacks.
We must step into His authority through agreement with His word. Our job in prayer is to stand firm on what God has promised, reinforcing His truth in every situation. That is the only way we can truly defeat the enemy’s plans.
Let’s keep praying for people in the Los Angeles area experiencing the devastation of wildfires. Even in the midst of a crisis, God’s love is present. He is close to those who are hurting, and His heart longs to bring comfort and peace. Whether we live in these areas or not, we have the opportunity to carry one another’s burdens through prayer.
Heavenly Father, We ask for Your protection over those affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles and comfort for those who have lost their homes and loved ones. Wrap them in Your peace and provide them with strength.
Keep the firefighters safe and give them courage.
Calm the winds and bring relief to the fires. May Your peace and hope fill the hearts of those in need. In Jesus name, Amen.
