It is with great joy that we announce to you the appointment of Rev. Fr. Louie John Ninian as our new Parochial Vicar! He will be succeeding Rev. Fr. Marvin Frances Reales and will begin his ministry to our Parish in the coming weeks this month of June.

Let us all pray for Fr. Louie and Fr. Marvin that, through the intercession of the Blessed Mother, Our Lord may continue to grant them the strength to carry on their pastoral mission.

𝗜𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀 | 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝘇 𝗕𝗲𝗲

As part of the celebrations for the culmination of our annual Flores de Mayo this year, the Calinog Parish Youth Ministry and the Ministry of Young Catechists organized a quiz bee for our young floristas coming in from the different parish barangays! Contestants for the individual and group categories were quizzed about key topics and learnings touching the basic tenets of our Faith and Mariology.

𝗜𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀 | 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀

Continuing the celebration of the Culmination Activity of the annual Flores de Mayo, the Parish celebrated a votive mass in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary! After the Mass, the image of the Blessed Mother was crowned with a crown of flowers by Rev. Fr. Marvin Frances Reales, Rev. Fr. Tomas Delicana, Jr., and Rev. Robert Lozada, PACEM. Praises in honor of the Theotokos was also given by Nel Matthew Enriquez (Encomium) and Rayne Layno (Serenade)

We express our heartfelt gratitude to all parish ministries, religious organizations, and individuals who made our month-long Flores de Mayo celebration a resounding success! May the Blessed Mother keep us all in her prayers to her Son.

On the Saturday of the 8th Week of Ordinary Time, the Parish organized the Annual Flores de Mayo Grand Procession attended by our numerous Floristas from the different barangays of the Parish. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to the success of our Flores de Mayo Grand Procession and to the children, with the support of their parents, who devoted themselves to the Blessed Mother throughout the month of May.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary, continue to intercede for us!

Beloved,

Today, on the Solemnity of Pentecost, we celebrate the great feast of the Third Person of the Most Holy Trinity — the Holy Spirit.

Before ascending to sit at the right hand of the Father, Our Lord Jesus Christ promised that He would remain with us always, and that He would send the Spirit of Truth so that we would not be left as orphans in our journey toward our heavenly home.

With the descent of the Holy Spirit — who has spoken through the prophets — upon the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Apostles, and the disciples gathered together in prayer, the Roman Catholic Church was born.

In the Old Testament, God the Father spoke to Moses and accompanied the Israelites in their exodus toward liberation.

In the New Testament, God the Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, assumed our human nature, walked among us, proclaimed the Good News to His people, suffered and died on the Cross, and rose again triumphantly on the third day.

Now, in our own age, it is God the Holy Spirit who accompanies us, the pilgrim Church on earth, enlightening our hearts and minds with zeal for proclaiming the saving love of God.

Reflecting on these sacred mysteries, we are reminded that God has never abandoned His people. He continually reaches out to us so that we may fully share in the joy of His presence and embrace the warmth of His divine love.

On this great feast of Pentecost, may we continue to ask the Holy Spirit to bestow upon us the grace of His gifts, so that we may become instruments of salvation, proclaiming the goodness and love of our faithful God who always keeps His promises.

As we celebrate World Communications Sunday, we pay tribute to the dedicated youth leaders who continue to answer the call to serve by generously offering their time, talents, expertise, and energy in documenting the major liturgical celebrations and activities of our parish. They are the people behind the media production of our Masses and parish events livestreamed on our page, allowing the Calinognon faithful here in the Philippines and across the world to remain spiritually connected with our parish community.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Fr. Tomas Delicana, Jr., Rev. Fr. Marvin Frances Reales, Rev. Fr. Ricardo Iniego, Jr., and Rev. Fr. Michael Reeve Sogo-an for their unwavering support and guidance to the Social Communications Ministry of our parish since its formal establishment in 2023.

As we celebrate today the Ascension of Our Lord, may we ask Him to continually bestow upon our parish the grace of renewed and persevering evangelization through the various forms of mass media, for the salvation of souls and the proclamation of the light of our faith.

𝗜𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀 | 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗮𝗿𝗼 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀

On the Sixth Sunday of Easter, our beloved seminarians from St. Vincent Ferrer Seminary and Saint Joseph Regional Seminary visited our parish to present an overview to the members of our Lay Ministries and Apostolates regarding the Archdiocese’s preparations for the upcoming celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Canonical Elevation of Jaro as an Archdiocese in the Philippines.

Among the key topics discussed were the historical milestones of Jaro from its establishment as a Diocese to its elevation as an Archdiocese, as well as the importance and essence of synodality in lay Catholic ministry.

We thank our beloved seminarians, as well as our parish lay servants, for attending this forum as we look to journey together in works and prayer to prepare for the celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Canonical Elevation of the Archdiocese of Jaro and the 230th Foundation Anniversary of the Parish this 2026.
