Dearly beloved, today the Holy Mother Church celebrates the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Born of her parents St. Anne and St. Joachim, the Blessed Mother, at the moment of her conception, received a singular and unique privilege of being preserved from the stain of original sin.

Her immaculate conception and birth into this world placed in motion God's eternal plan of making her the Mother of His only Son, so that God may once more assume unto himself human nature and sanctify it, leading to its eventual redemption.

As we celebrate the birth of the Theotokos, let us always remember that the gifts and graces God has bestowed unto Mary was because of her role as Mother of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us look towards Mary as our guide and companion, trusting her mantle of maternal protection, that we may discover the beauty of our faith that leads to Jesus and life eternal.

On September 8, 2026, the Parish will host the annual archdiocesan celebration of the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Spearheaded by the Barangay Sang Birhen Calinog Chapter, the parish will welcome thousands of pilgrims coming from the different parts of Iloilo in the celebration of the birth of the Blessed Mother of God.

In the celebration of the Holy Mass, we joyfully welcome The Most Rev. Marvyn Maceda, DD, Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Jose Antique who will be our principal celebrant and preacher.

Let us come together as one parochial family and pray for the success of the event, trusting in the mantle of Mary's maternal protection.
