In celebration of the 𝟕𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 of the United Church of Christ in the Philippines this May 25, 2026, we unpack the meaning behind the Official Logo for the 2026–2030 Quadrennial Theme: “𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬: 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐰𝐢𝐦.”

Each image below highlights the powerful symbols that embody our Church’s calling, mission, and collective journey.

𝗦𝗨𝗠𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗝𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗬𝗜𝗡𝗚

The quadrennial theme, Walking with Jesus: Journeying with the Anawim, serves as a directional map for the Church. By centering the anawim, the poor who depend entirely on God, the Church reaffirms that to follow Jesus is to be found exactly where Jesus is, among the marginalized and those seeking inclusion and justice.

Rooted in martyria and guided by the Holy Spirit’s witness, the Church acknowledges that faith is not static but a living testimony that endures through life and death. Martyria calls us to courageous and faithful witness in word and action, even when discipleship demands sacrifice.

Whether through creation care, prayer for peace, or the work of justice, every action becomes an act of solidarity, navigating the turbulent waves of time with a steady hand on the rudder of grace.

The United Church of Christ in the Philippines affirms that the kingdom of God is present here and now whenever we act in the Spirit of Jesus: where the sick find care and wholeness, where the hungry are fed at the table of fellowship, where light is given to the blind, and where the captive and oppressed finally taste liberty.

Every element of the quadrennial logo is an invitation to participate in this ongoing work of God, turning the anawim’s journey into a lived reality of God’s reign on earth.

The seeds planted during our Samaritan's Purse - Operation Christmas Child outreach events have officially bloomed! We expected 100 children, but God provided more—𝟭𝟴𝟬 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 joined us for a life-changing week at Vacation Church School 2026: 𝘈𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘢𝘨𝘭𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘬𝘣𝘢𝘺 (The Greates Journey).

From April 27 to May 1, our halls were buzzing with:

🌿 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 in the Gospel

Seeing them graduate with their new Bibles, certificates, tokens and garlands was the highlight of our year! A massive thank you to 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗻'𝘀 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 and 𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗣 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘄 for investing in these eternal smiles.

Today, April 20, 2026, the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 (𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗣) – 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘄 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 successfully conducted the 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗻’𝘀 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 – 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 (𝗢𝗖𝗖) 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 as an entrusted Ministry Partner.

Guided by the theme “𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺. 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽. 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.,” UCCP Binaliw emphasized Jesus’ love for children and His role as a faithful friend. Through this event, we encouraged children to walk in His ways and welcome the Kingdom of God into their hearts.

Rev. Jojie F. Luzara, Administrative Pastor, shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The children learned how the Lord created a beautiful world, how He loves us despite our shortcomings, and how His miracles prove His holiness. Most importantly, they heard how He offered His life to pay for our sins and how His resurrection serves as our ultimate assurance of eternal life.

The event was filled with exciting games that brought joy to every child. Beyond the fun, we:

Shared the Greatest Gift (the Gospel of Jesus).

- Encouraged the children to read and live out the Word of God.

- Invited them to join our The Greatest Journey classes to deepen their relationship with Christ.

- The children also received tangible tokens of God’s love through Shoebox Gifts. It was a privilege to witness the priceless smiles on their faces as they received these “pre-gifts” on their journey to knowing Him.

We concluded our two outreach events filled with joy and gratitude to Jesus and everyone who made this ministry possible.

He is risen! Alleluia! ✝️🌸

Let us all be reminded today of this powerful truth: “𝘏𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦; 𝘏𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘯, 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘴 𝘏𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥.” — 𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘸 28:6. The tomb is empty, the stone has been rolled away, and what once seemed like the end has become the greatest victory of all. In His resurrection, we are given hope that no darkness can overcome and no ending is ever final.

This Easter Sunday, may we carry this reminder in our hearts that through Him, we are renewed, restored, and made whole. Let His victory be our strength, and His promise be our light as we move forward with faith and courage. Rejoice, for He is risen indeed, and in Him, we find a hope that will never fade. ✨
