Sin isn't merely about wrongful actions; it's a condition of the heart.

Think of it this way: you go to the doctor for a check-up, and the doctor finds that you have symptoms of an illness that show you have cancer.

In the same way, the Law (Ten Commandments) wasn't given just to show what sin looks like. It's purpose is to reveal the true condition of a person's hearts.

That's why the Lord Jesus Christ said: "If you look at someone with lust, you have already committed adultery with them in your heart." Notice, you haven't been sleep with someone else's spouse, you haven't committed the act physically yet you are already accountable. Because sin isn't just what we do, it's a condition we have inherited from Adam's fall. Everyone born into this world naturally carries this condition. That's why we need to be Born Again.

The truth is, God doesn't want to punish us. We were already living under the penalty of death, and that's exactly why Jesus came, to rescue us so we can be with God once again.

I always say that the Gospel is free for everyone. But the effectiveness of its power is only for those who believe. And its power only applies to those who acknowledge that they are captives of sin and want to be free.

You can't force someone to believe the Gospel if they are enjoying their sin. No matter how much you try to convince them, it's just foolishness to them. But to those who are in need, surely they will ask for help. Just as only the sick need healing.

I'm saying this to anyone who is struggling and held captive by sin: if you want to be delivered, all you have to do is understand the Gospel and believe in it.

The Gospel of the Kingdom is all about how God made us right in His sight. Notice, it is all about God's work of salvation toward us. It is not by our own works and efforts that we gain salvation and favor from God, but because of His goodness and unmeasurable grace through His beloved Son, who laid down His life for us.

The Gospel is about what God has done for us, not about what we can do for God to earn His love or acceptance. The cross wasn't meant to show how sinful we are; it reveals the Father's heart: He loves us and doesn't want us to be separated from Him. As the Apostle Paul wrote, God was reconciling the world to Himself through the death of His Son, Jesus.

Many search for the right religion to draw near to God, but Scripture is clear: no one comes to the Father except through Jesus. And true conversion isn't about changing religions, it's an inward work. It's a circumcision of the heart, when we turn to Him in repentance and receive the new life Jesus died to give us.

Here is the beautiful truth: the Gospel isn't about us striving to earn God's love. It's about what Jesus already accomplished — the perfect, blameless, and spotless Lamb of God. His sacrifice is more than enough to save us, not just from sin and hell, but to restore everything the enemy has stolen from you.
