On the cold Friday night of November 28, 2025, the Calasiao Philippines Stake gathered together to celebrate their Melchizedek Priesthood and Relief Society (MPRS) Night. It's a once-a-year event, and members of the stake always look forward to it.
โThis year's celebration was different from the norm. Instead of the usual dance activity, the leaders decided to host a movie marathon night.
โAll wards were encouraged to send a video presentation that featured family bonding in their own homes and in the ward. We were indeed the stars of the nightโshining brightly with Christ's love and influence in our homes.
โAside from the recently created videos, we also reminisced about the memories of the past by watching videos shot decades ago. It truly is wonderful how a simple device can hold so many memoriesโreminding us to take more pictures and videos of ourselves so the future generation can know of our existence.
โWhat made the MPRS Night more memorable was the unexpected fireworks display during the Christmas Lighting at Calasiao, Pangasinan. Those lights flickering above the sky brought excitement and joy to the membersโindicating that despite how old we become, we can still find happiness in little things.
โPresident Gilbert Untalan said, "Let's have fun as one big family from Calasiao Stake." Movie night is not only a get-together with your friends and loved ones, but a chance for families to strengthen their relationships. As members in the same ward, we treat each other as family, and during this particular night, we formed a new core memory never to be forgotten.
