Today, the Church joyfully honors the 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲, celebrating 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐬 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡, 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠, and our loving Mother.

Mary’s queenship is not a crown of earthly power, but the crown of a humble heart that gave itself completely to God. From her joyful “yes” at the Annunciation to her faithful presence at the foot of the Cross, Mary remained steadfast in love and obedience. Because she was so closely united with her Son, she now shares in His glory and continues to intercede for His people.

As we honor Mary as our Queen, may we remember that her greatest desire is always to lead us closer to Jesus. Like Mary, may we learn to surrender ourselves to God’s will, remain faithful in times of trial, and allow our lives to become a loving response to the grace we have received.

Today, let us entrust our families, our parish community, and all our intentions to the maternal care of our Queen. May Mary, Queen of Heaven, guide us safely along the path toward her Son and help us persevere in faith until we share with her in the joy of His eternal Kingdom.

• Offer a prayer of thanksgiving for Mary’s fiat and her faithful example.

On this First Friday, September 4 @5:00 PM, we are invited to draw near to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Heart that loves us without measure and remains a refuge for every wounded, weary, and searching soul.

As we gather for our 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬, let us bring before Jesus all that weighs upon our hearts—our burdens, our families, our struggles, our sicknesses, and our deepest intentions. May we surrender them to the Divine Healer, trusting in His mercy and allowing His love to strengthen and renew us.

Come with faith. Come with hope. Come as you are.

Let us gather as one parish family and place our hearts in the loving Heart of Christ.

𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟏𝟓

“𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑞𝑢𝑒𝑒𝑛 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝑎𝑡 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑟𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡 ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑑, 𝑎𝑟𝑟𝑎𝑦𝑒𝑑 𝑖𝑛 𝑔𝑜𝑙𝑑.” — 𝑃𝑠𝑎𝑙𝑚 45:10

Today, the Church rejoices in one of the most glorious mysteries of our faith: the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

At the completion of her earthly life, Mary was taken body and soul into heavenly glory and exalted by God as Queen of Heaven and Earth, sharing uniquely in the glory of her Son, Jesus Christ. This is not merely a beautiful devotion or a pious tradition, but a dogma of the Catholic faith, solemnly defined by Pope Pius XII in 1950.

Mary, who gave her whole self to God—body, soul, heart, and life—was granted the fullness of union with Him. She who carried Christ in her womb now stands in His presence. She who stood beneath His Cross now shares in His glory. She who faithfully said “yes” to God now reigns with the King of Heaven.

And this is where the Assumption becomes profoundly personal for us as Catholics.

Mary’s glory is also a promise of hope for us.

We believe that our bodies are not meaningless vessels. God created us as a union of body and soul, and our hope in Christ is not simply the survival of the soul, but the resurrection and glorification of the whole person.

Mary is a sign of what awaits those who remain faithful to Christ: eternal life with God, where death will have no final victory.

So today, we do more than look upward in wonder. We look to Mary and remember:

𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞.
𝐎𝐮𝐫 “𝐲𝐞𝐬” 𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠.

May her Assumption strengthen us when life is difficult, give us hope when we grieve, and remind us that in Christ, death is not the end of the story.

Mary has gone before us. She is the sign that what God promises, He will fulfill.

𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐇
• HONOR the dignity of our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit.
• RENEW our YES to God, following Mary’s faithful example.
• ENTRUST our families, our struggles, and our hopes to our Mother and Queen.
• LIVE with the hope of the resurrection, remembering that heaven is our true and eternal home.

🙏 𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐘𝐄𝐑
Mary, our Mother and Queen, you who were assumed body and soul into heaven, teach us to trust God as you did. When we struggle, strengthen us; when we grieve, give us hope; and when we lose our way, lead us closer to Jesus. May your Assumption remind us that heaven is our true home. Pray for us and lead us to your Son. Amen.

On this sacred evening, as we stand at the threshold of the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the ancient Christian tradition of the Transitus Mariae invites us to contemplate the final passage of Mary’s earthly pilgrimage into the glory prepared for her by God.

From her humble Fiat at Nazareth to the foot of the Cross, Mary’s life was a continuous surrender to the will of God. In her Assumption, the Church beholds a sign of hope—a glimpse of the destiny God desires for those who remain faithful to Him: the fullness of life in His presence.

The Church solemnly teaches as a dogma of faith that Mary was assumed, body and soul, into heavenly glory. While the Church has not definitively declared whether Mary died before her Assumption, the ancient tradition of her Transitus has long invited the faithful to contemplate her final earthly passage with trust and hope.

Tonight, let us look to Mary.

May she teach us to live our own Fiat—to trust when we cannot see, to remain faithful when the journey is difficult, and to place our whole life into the hands of God.

For Mary, the journey from earth to heaven was not an ending.

It was a passage into glory.

A Blessed Feast of St. Clare of Assisi!

Today, we honor St. Clare of Assisi, a woman who discovered that the greatest treasure of life is not found in wealth, comfort, or worldly success, but in Jesus Christ alone.

Born into a wealthy family, Clare courageously left behind a life of privilege to follow Christ in poverty, simplicity, prayer, and complete trust in God. Her life was hidden from the world, yet her love for God became a light that continues to shine centuries later.

St. Clare had a profound devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. In the Eucharistic Lord, she found her strength, her courage, and her security. Her life reminds us that when Christ is truly the treasure of our hearts, we can face uncertainty, suffering, and even our greatest fears with faith.

May St. Clare teach us to want less of the things that distract us from God and desire more of the One who can never be taken away from us.

𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐇
• Spend a few quiet moments in prayer, simply gazing upon Jesus and thanking Him for His love.
• Offer a small sacrifice today for someone who needs God’s grace.
• Choose one act of humility, kindness, or generosity and offer it completely for the love of Christ.

🙏𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐘𝐄𝐑
St. Clare of Assisi, teach us to love Jesus with an undivided heart. Help us to surrender our fears, desires, and burdens to Him and to trust in His love completely. May we learn to see Christ as our greatest treasure and faithfully follow Him in every season of our lives.
