A Time for Reflection and Fellowship: AVC Women Religious Gather for Advent Recollection

The sisters from the Association of Women Religious in the Apostolic Vicariate of Calapan (AWRAVC) gathered recently to observe the profound season of Advent. The day was dedicated to spiritual renewal through a meaningful recollection facilitated by Fr. Alfredo Maglangit, Jr., a Piarist Priest.

Centered on the resonant theme: "Caring, Sharing, Growing Together," the sisters shared moments of deep reflection and community building.

The spiritual gathering culminated in a joyous Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by His Excellency, Most Rev. Moises M. Cuevas, the esteemed Apostolic Vicar of Calapan followed by the sharing of his gifts to the sisters.

The day concluded with a vibrant Christmas Fellowship, filled with cheerful games and heartfelt exchange gifts, beautifully blending spiritual preparation with the joy of the upcoming Nativity.

A Tribute of Prayer and Gratitude
from the Association of Women Religious of the Apostolic Vicariate of Calapan (AWRAVC)

The Association of Women Religious of the Apostolic Vicariate of Calapan (AWRAVC) gathered in deep prayer and gratitude for the eternal repose of the late Most Reverend Warlito I. Cajandig, D.D., Bishop Emeritus of Calapan. United in faith, the members offered heartfelt prayers, remembering with love and reverence a Shepherd who served God and His people with humility, compassion, and unwavering dedication.

Bishop Cajandig was a true servant-leader whose life reflected the tenderness of the Good Shepherd. His pastoral care and fatherly concern for the clergy, religious, and faithful of the Vicariate left an enduring mark on all who knew him. He was especially supportive of women religious, nurturing their vocations and encouraging them to live out their consecration with renewed faith and missionary zeal.

To the AWRAVC, Bishop Cajandig was not only a Bishop but also a spiritual companion and a father who inspired others through his simplicity, kindness, and steadfast devotion to prayer and service. His deep love for the Church and his people continues to shine as a lasting legacy of faith and holiness.

As the Association prayed together, they expressed profound gratitude for his life and ministry, entrusting his soul to the loving mercy of God. His memory will remain alive in the hearts of those he guided and in the continuing mission of the Church he served so faithfully.

β€œEternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.”
