The Bishop-Emeritus of the Apostolic Vicariate of Calapan, Most Rev. Warlito I. Cajandig, D.D., will be laid into rest on October 29, 2025, Wednesday following the 1:00 PM Funeral Mass at Sto. Niño Cathedral, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.
He will be buried at the crypt of the Cathedral beside Bishop Simeon O. Valerio SVD, D.D., his predecessor.

There will be a Special Live Broadcast of the Eulogy and Funeral Mass starting at 11:00 in the morning via page of the Apostolic Vicariate of Calapan and other parishes, TV Maria, local TV stations (Calapan Cable & TV Net Newsline), and will be aired at DZSB 104.1 Spirit FM and Spirit FM Calapan TV.

We invite the clergy, religious, and lay faithful to join us in prayer and remembrance, as we honor his faithful service and dedication to God’s people.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of the Most Rev. Warlito I. Cajandig, Bishop-Emeritus of the Apostolic Vicariate of Calapan, who faithfully shepherded the local Church for 33 years (1989-2022). After a debilitating stroke that resulted in a coma on September 1, 2018, he bravely endured a prolonged illness. He passed away peacefully at 7:18AM on October 21, 2025, in Iloilo City, at the age of 81 (1944-2025).

Funeral arrangements wil be announce in the coming days.
