YSA Strengthens Unity and Discipleship in One-Day Retreat

Young Single Adults from various areas gathered for a one-day spiritual retreat titled “Deepening Discipleship: Uniting Individuals to Be One in Christ” held on June 21, 2025, at Kambal Bato Mountain River Resort.

The event focused on building Christlike bonds and unity, inspired by Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf’s April 2025 General Conference message: “The unity we seek is not to have everyone stand in the same place, it is to have everyone face in the same direction — toward Jesus Christ.”

President Emil Venturina opened the program by emphasizing the importance of friendship in strengthening discipleship among YSAs. Sister Angel Baldon, YSA Representative, followed with a message drawn from Elder Uchtdorf’s talk, inspiring everyone to become true disciples by lifting and loving one another.

Throughout the day, participants engaged in group discussions, devotionals, and riverside reflections, all set in the peaceful natural surroundings of the resort.

The retreat concluded with heartfelt testimonies and renewed spiritual commitment to face forward—together—toward Jesus Christ.

Calapan Branch Camping: Strengthening Bonds and Creating Memories

The Calapan Branch gathered for a memorable camping trip at the beautiful Santos Family Residency in Brgy. Mahal na Pangalan. Held on May 2-3, 2025, the event brought together members from all auxiliaries, including Primary, Elders Quorum, Relief Society, YSA, and Youth, with the goal of strengthening family bonds and fostering deeper connections between individuals.

The weekend was filled with activities, from pitching tents to a lively game night and a heartwarming campfire. On the morning of the second day, members joyfully gathered for a budol fight breakfast, where everyone shared a delicious meal in true Filipino style—an unforgettable bonding experience. Despite a brief evacuation from the camping site to the Calapan Chapel, the spirit of the event remained strong. The enthusiasm and participation of the members were unmatched, making it a truly unforgettable experience for all who attended.

In the end, the camping trip was a resounding success, with everyone leaving with strengthened relationships, new friendships, and lasting memories.

Calapan YSAs Strengthen Bonds in Workshop and Fireside

April 26, 2025 – Calapan Branch Chapel

Young Single Adults from the Calapan area gathered for a special activity themed “Building Meaningful Friendships and Christlike Connections.” The event began with a workshop filled with icebreakers, group discussions, and a devotional message from President Emil Rafael Venturina and Sister Aubree Nicole Venturina. These activities helped participants reflect on how to be Christlike friends and build a stronger sense of unity.

After the workshop, everyone enjoyed a dinner fellowship that allowed for more meaningful conversations and connections. The evening continued with a Missionary Fireside featuring inspiring messages from a returned missionary and a guest speaker, emphasizing the power of love, invitation, and Christ-centered service. The sister missionaries also led a short workshop on ministering and fellowshipping.

The event concluded with heartfelt testimonies and renewed spiritual goals. Many YSAs left feeling more connected to one another and more committed to sharing the gospel through friendship and example. It was a night of learning, laughter, and lasting impact.
