September 6, 2026: Back-to-back celebration at the Oratory
The Oratory centers of San Cristobal and Halang came alive with joy as our Oratorians, formands, Sisters, and volunteers celebrated the Season of Creation and the birthday of Mama Mary under the theme “Back-to-back: Love for Mother Earth and Love for Mama Mary.” Fresh from the ALFA Encounter held the day before, our leaders carried out their responsibilities with enthusiasm, inspiring everyone with their spirit of service. Despite the rainy Sunday, each grade level creatively honored both Mother Mary and Mother Earth through meaningful activities and sharing, reminding us to care for God’s creation and to follow Mary’s example of love and faith. The day ended with hot lugaw lovingly cooked by some mothers, making the celebration even more joyful and memorable. Truly, it was a time of unity, gratitude, and inspiration — a living testimony that, like Mary, we are called to respond to God with love and humility, caring for one another and for our common home.

September 8, 2026: Serenading Mary on her birthday
Our community joyfully celebrated the birthday of Mama Mary with a special Rosary. It was a moment of grace and unity, lifting our prayers in gratitude for Mary’s motherly presence. The day ended with a serenade to our Blessed Mother — songs and dances offered in our own languages. Our formands from Thailand, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Papua New Guinea, together with Ashie, one of our catechist volunteers, and our Sisters including Sr. Yen from Vietnam, all sang to Mary in their own tongues. This celebration beautifully expressed our love and gratitude, showing how devotion to Mary transcends cultures and languages, uniting us as one family in faith and joy.

SYM: ONE DREAM – SERVING YOU THE ALFA TARA WAY!
On September 5, 2026, some Oratorian leaders from the Halang and San Cristobal oratories, together with our formands, participated in the online ALFA Formation encounter. They were accompanied by Sr. Ludette, who took time to bring them from Halang and San Cristobal to the Aspirantate. Although the onsite encounter had to go online because of the bad weather, the day was filled with unity, inspiration, and the spirit of leadership. Each participant went home happy, motivated, and ready to serve in their respective oratory centers, carrying the fire of faith and mission. Truly, this experience reminds us: Leadership is service, and service is joy!

Happy Birthday, Sr. Evelyn!
On August 31, the formands greeted their beloved teacher in Human Formation, Sr. Evelyn Lacsa, whose birthday was on August 26. With heartfelt wishes for many more years of holiness and love for the young, they lifted their voices in song — “A Gift to This World” — a hymn of gratitude for her life dedicated to God and service. May the Lord continue to bless Sr. Evelyn with joy, strength, and a radiant spirit that inspires all who meet her!

The Season of Creation 2026 begins!
September 1: Our community fervently joined the whole world in opening this year's Season of Creation. With the theme “Living Water,” we were led by Sr. Helen Sebastian and the liturgy group in participating in this global initiative. The group prepared a beautiful bulletin board and guided us through a creative Rosary and prayer service. Together, united in prayer with the universal Church, we embrace the call to live as true stewards of creation, to care for our common home and to let God’s living water renew our hearts and the entire earth.

August 30, 2026: Farewell, but not goodbye!
On August 30, our community bid farewell to Sr. Cristina Villasanta , whose short stay with us left a lasting mark. Her missionary spirit, boundless energy, and living example have touched the hearts of the formands — perhaps planting seeds of a future missionary calling that will bloom in God’s time. Thank you, Sr. Cristina, for being a radiant witness of faith and service. May your journey continue to inspire many, especially the young people of PNG.

Thank you, Sr. Ludette!
On August 22, our community had a special "thank you" lunch for our dear Sr. Ludette — a true blessing to the Sisters, aspirants, and postulants. A heartfelt, newly composed song, "Thank You, Sister, for All That You Are to Us" (thanks to postulant Kathleen for sharing her talent in music), became our way of expressing our love and gratitude for her. Two days later, on August 24, we lovingly accompanied her to her new community at the Mary Help of Christians College. Thank you, Sr.Ludette, for touching our hearts so deeply. We assure you of our prayers and love. We will miss you for now!
