AUGUST 16, 2026: "Coffee Birthday, Don Bosco!"
The community was thrilled to celebrate St. John Bosco’s 111th birthday with fellowship and refreshing iced coffee! Thanks to Aspirant Marielle, who shared her gift as a barista, the celebration became a reminder of Don Bosco’s spirit — simple gestures made with love can bring great joy and unity. Just as Don Bosco taught us to to do our ordinary duties extraordinarily well, this moment echoed his legacy of youthful energy, gratitude, and devotion

August 15, 2026: Feast of Our Lady’s Assumption!
Our community came alive with joy and devotion as we celebrated this great feast of Our Lady. The formands presented a short play, “Under Her Mantle,” reminding us of Mary’s loving protection. In the evening, the initiative group prepared a special Rosary, drawing us ever closer to Our Lady and filling our hearts with peace and gratitude. Truly, it was a day of faith, energy, and inspiration, honoring the Mother who always leads us to her son Jesus until we are together with Him in heaven.

AUGUST 14, 2026: A Gift to the World! Happy Birthday, Sr. Malen!
On August 14, Sr. Malen Estacio's English class joyfully remembered their beloved teacher by visiting her in Casa Romero on her 79th birthday. With hearts full of gratitude, they lifted their voices in song — “You Are A Gift to This World” — offering praise and thanksgiving for her life dedicated to God and the young. May the Lord continue to bless Sr. Malen with strength, joy, and holiness, as she continues to shine as a living witness of His boundless grace!

AUGUST 5, 2026: Gratitude and Fidelity through the Years!
On the 154th "birthday" of the FMA Institute in the Church, our community rejoiced in thanksgiving for the precious gift of our beloved Institute with a solemn Mass at the new MHCC school chapel. The celebration also honored the shining witness of fidelity of our dear Sisters:
60th anniversary of religious profession

50th Anniversary of religious profession
• Sr. Corazon A. Beboso, FMA
• Sr. Nora U. Hernandez, FMA

Their lives of dedication and love inspire us to walk joyfully today in the footsteps of Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello.
As formands, we gave our special contribution to the celebration by serving as the choir, singing "oldies but goldies" songs requested by the jubilarians for the Mass, with Sr. Cynthia Calabig conducting, and Atty. Creselda Baldonado accompanying us on the keyboard.

AUGUST 2, 2026: 3-in-1 + More Celebration!
August 2 was truly a day of joy and gratitude as we formally opened the Halang Oratory this school year, together with the Sisters, formands, and Ms. Imee. The fun games, creative presentations, and warm greetings filled our hearts with happiness!
But that’s not all — we also marked:
* 150 years since the first FMA missionary expedition (1877)
* 154 years of the FMA Institute (since 1872)
* 25 years of FMA presence in Papua New Guinea and
* the birthday of dear Sr. Rachel.
Indeed, it was a multiple celebration of faith, family, and mission — a day to remember and cherish!

We dedicate the 13th of every month to the remembrance of our beloved Mother Mazzarello. May we come to know her more, and in knowing her more, love her more and learn more from her deep yet down-to-earth spirituality.

JULY 26: Grand Opening of the San Cristobal Oratory
We joyfully opened the San Cristobal Oratory with the formands, our volunteer animators and oratory leaders leading the official welcome. Creative group presentations filled the morning, followed by fun games and a quiz on the "Good day" talk of Sr. Rachel, with prizes for eager participants. The celebration ended in gratitude, fellowship, and spaghetti cooked with love by the mother oratorians. Truly, it was a joyful day of thanksgiving! We look forward to spending every Sunday morning together as a community united by the spirit of Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello!

JULY 26: World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly
Our formands, together with the Sisters, enthusiastically greeted our elderly Sisters in Casa Romero with the beautiful song "Mi alma canta" - and a glass tupperward of gelatin!
In response, Sr. Gloria A. delighted everyone by playing rock n' roll music and an energetic Italian song on the guitar — a joyful exchange of music and love across generations.
Looking at our elderly Sisters, we were filled with sentiments of gratitude - we know we are standing on the shoulders of these giants of FMA life! - and hope: we are the future of the Institute, and we have the responsibility to bring the Institute to the future with our own lives of love and fidelity.
