This Sunday, we celebrate Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, where He rode a donkey into the city, π΄ and people welcomes Him with palm branches and praises.ππ»β¨ Lucas 19:28-40. But Jesus wept; concern for their fate due to spiritual blindness. Lucas 19:41-44.
People believed Jesus went to Jerusalem to bring true freedom from the Roman Empire. π° They thought He would be the King, that would be the face of the nation. They thought Jesus would be the mighty ruler who would conquer their enemies. βοΈ For them, success was defined as prosperity in every aspect of life.
But, freedom can only be experience in the obedience to the Word of God. β€οΈJesus came to Earth to save us from eternal separation from God, offering us salvation and eternal life through his sacrifice. π₯ Pumunta ang Panginoon Jesus sa Jerusalem hindi upang maging hari nila, hindi upang maging mukha ng kanilang bansa, kundi upang maging Hari sa buhay natin. π He wants to save their souls and to restore them back as His people. Jesus conquered the world by giving Himself away. β€οΈβπ©Ή (John 16:33) Jesus's goal is to die on the cross to save everyone's lives from getting separate from God.
And lastly, the true success in life isn't measured by achievements,π
wealth,π°or fame, but by being loved by God and saved by His grace.β¨ And as a result, we will glorify Him through wholehearted obedience to His will. ππ»
