In the quiet light of her feast, Mary Help of Christians stands not only as Queen, but as Teacher—gentle, radiant, and ever near.

At Colle Don Bosco Philippines, we remember the moment grace first whispered a vocation into a young heart of St. John Bosco:

“I will give you a Teacher, under whose guidance you will learn, and without whose help all knowledge becomes foolishness.”

Today, we celebrate not just a title, but a presence—Mary who forms hearts, shapes missions, and leads every seeker toward Christ with maternal wisdom. May we, like Don Bosco, learn under her guidance and find courage in her care.

From the rushing wind of Pentecost came the first breath of the Church. 🕊️🔥

The Apostles, together with Mary, Help of Christians, received the fire of the Holy Spirit, no longer as men hidden in fear, but as witnesses ready to carry Christ to the world. In that sacred moment, the Mother Church was born, alive with faith, courage, and mission.

May the same Spirit continue to renew our hearts today, filling us with the grace to love boldly, serve joyfully, and proclaim the Gospel without fear.

Come, Holy Spirit, and fill the hearts of Your faithful.

INVITATION – JUNE 9 WEBINAR:

“Why & How to Mark the ‘World Day of Prayer for Creation’ with the New Mass”

Various Catholic networks are convening a webinar to support dioceses, parish teams, clergy, and JPIC / Laudato Si’ animators to prepare the celebrations of the World Day of Prayer in early September, as well as its extended Season of Creation. Pope Leo’s new ‘Mass for Creation’ is such a novelty and opportunity that it deserves much more formation and awareness-raising about its importance and practicalities.

Today we celebrate the feast of St. Dominic Savio😇

The Feast of Saint Dominic Savio is celebrated on May 6th. He was a young Italian student of Saint John Bosco who lived from 1842 to 1857. He died at the age of 14, possibly from pleurisy, and was canonized in 1954. He is the patron saint of choir boys, the falsely accused, and juvenile delinquents.

Here's a bit more about St. Dominic Savio and his feast:
Young Holiness:
Dominic Savio was known for his deep faith and piety from a young age. He made a significant impact on the Church and his family.

Student of St. John Bosco:
Dominic was a student of Saint John Bosco in Turin, Italy, where he studied to become a priest.

Early Death:
He died at the age of 14, possibly from pleurisy, a painful inflammation around the lungs.

Canonization:
Dominic was canonized in 1954, becoming the youngest non-martyr to be named a saint.

Patron Saint:
He is venerated as the patron saint of choir boys, the falsely accused, and juvenile delinquents, symbolizing the triumph of faith in youth.

St Dominic Savio, Pray for us!🙏🏾

As we commemorate Mary Help of Christians, we turn to our Blessed Mother, who lovingly nurtures and guides us like a tender gardener of souls. 🌱 With her care, our faith takes root, grows strong, and bears fruit in service and love. 🌾🙏

May we always seek her help as we journey toward holiness, sowing seeds of kindness and cultivating a heart that flourishes in God's grace. 🌻✨

Act of Entrustment of the Home to Mary Help of Christians

Most Holy Virgin Mary,
appointed by God to be the Help of Christians,
we choose you as the Mother and protectress
of our home.
We ask you to favor us with your powerful protection.
Preserve our home from every danger:
from fire, flood, lightning, storm, earthquake, thieves, vandals, and from every other danger.
Bless us. Protect us. Defend us.
Keep as your own all the people
who dwell in this home.
Protect them from all accidents and misfortunes,
but above all, obtain for them the most important grace of avoiding sin.
Mary Help of Christians, pray for all those
who live in this home,
which is entrusted to you for all time.
Amen.

Mary Help of Christians, pray for us!

In every leaf that dances with the wind, in every root that holds the soil together, creation tells a story of care, connection, and quiet resilience. 🌿 Each rustle is a reminder that life is sustained not by noise, but by harmony—by the unseen work of soil, sun, and rain weaving together a world that continues to give, even when taken for granted.

Look closer, and you’ll find that nature is never in a hurry, yet nothing is left undone. The trees stand as silent witnesses of time, the rivers carry stories from mountain to sea, and the earth itself breathes beneath our feet—patient, generous, and enduring. 🌍✨

This Earth Day, we are invited not just to admire nature, but to belong to it. To recognize that we are not separate from creation, but deeply rooted within it. To plant hope where there is neglect, to nurture life where there is loss, and to restore what has been wounded by carelessness.

Let this be more than a passing celebration. Let it be a turning point—a quiet decision to live with greater intention. To choose what heals over what harms, to protect what cannot speak for itself, and to become stewards who honor the beauty and dignity of our common home. 💚

🌱 “The pastoral letter grounds ecological considerations in the Eucharistic life of the Church, echoing Pope Francis in his milestone encyclical ’, “It is in the Eucharist that all that has been created finds its greatest exaltation. Grace, which tends to manifest itself tangibly, found unsurpassable expression when God himself became man and gave himself as food for his creatures”. The pastoral letter highlights this essential dimension of integral : the interconnection between faith, the human community, and the natural environment. Its attention to the history, landscapes, and social realities of Indiana demonstrates a commendable effort to apply the Church’s teaching within a concrete local context.”

From the silence of the tomb, life rises. 🌿✨

In the heart of the woods—where stillness once lingered—light breaks through, and hope breathes again. The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is not just a moment in history; it is a promise that no darkness is final, no sorrow is wasted, and no soul is beyond renewal.

Here at Colle Don Bosco Philippines, we are reminded that just as nature awakens after the quiet of night, so too are we invited to rise—with Christ—into new life, new purpose, and deeper love. 🌱

May this Easter be your season of becoming—of healing, of hope, and of holy beginnings.

✨ Come, walk in the woods. Rise with Him.
