The LORD said [to Samuel], "Arise, anoint him; for this is he."(1 Samuel 16:12b) David was thirty years old when he became king, and he reigned forty years.(2 Samuel 5:4)

David was anointed as king by the prophet Samuel as a teenager, but it took many years before he became a king of Israel.

The Lord has plans for our lives that require time — time for preparation, time to develop our character, skills and talents. God wants to do some work in us so He can do a mighty work through us. We are to trust God's process and timing. And to be faithful with what He puts in front of us each day.

We never know how God is using the little things to develop and prepare us for bigger things.

Mark's Gospel emphasizes Christ's power as well as His servanthood. Jesus' life and teaching turn the world upside down. The world sees power as a way to gain control over others. But Jesus, with all authority and power in heaven and earth, chose to serve others.

He held children in His arms, healed the sick, washed the disciples' feet, and died for the sins of the world. Following Jesus means receiving this same power to serve. As believers, we are called to be servants of Christ. As Christ served, so we are to serve.

It is worth nothing for you to have the whole world if you yourself are lost. You could never pay enough to buy back your life.

Many people spend all their energy seeking pleasure. Jesus said, however, that a world of pleasure centered on possessions, position, or power is ultimately worthless. Whatever you have on earth is only temporary; it cannot be exchanged for your soul. If you work hard at getting what you want, you might eventually have a "pleasurable" life, but in the end you will find it hollow and empty.

Are you willing to make the pursuit of God more important than the selfish pursuit of pleasure? Follow Jesus, and you will know what it means to live abundantly now and to have eternal life as well.

And their unbelief kept him from doing many mighty miracles in Nazareth.
Matthew 13:58 TPT

Jesus did few miracles in His hometown "because of their unbelief." Unbelief blinds people to the truth and robs them of hope. These people missed the Messiah.

If you can't see God's work, perhaps it is because of your unbelief. Believe, ask God for a mighty work in your life, and expect Him to act. Look with the eyes of faith.

Dear 𝐉𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐒,

As of this moment, I lost words to say. My heart is filled with thanksgiving for who am I to complain about life?

𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦 & 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘶𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳, I am hopeless & helpless, yet you were there to pick me up & helped me to carry on. It is only by Your grace why I’m still alive and running.

𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘢 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘮𝘦, I am a complete mess — always falling short in your glory, yet you came to bring life and save me from the debt of my sin. It is only by Your blood that was shed on the Cross why I am forgiven & free! Thank you, JESUS!

𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘰𝘯 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶, I always commit mistakes, failures and I always break my promises to You and yet you were there to remind me that grace is present whenever I am weak, and you use my weaknesses as a doorway to Your power! Praise be to You Name!

Thank you, JESUS, for your promise that 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐞. This is the simple thing I always keep in mind, that no matter what battle I will conquer, you’re always there — never leaving me alone. Thank you for this single promise that I can always keep forever!

ITO ANG PINAKAMAHALAGA SA BUHAY NA DAPAT MONG MALAMAN,

-Darating ang panahon, ang lahat sa buhay mo ay magwawakas. Wala ka nang pagsikat at paglubog ng araw na makikita, Lahat ng bagay na iyong pinagtatrabahuhan at pinaghihirapan ay ipapasa at mapupunta lang din sa iba. Ang kayamanan, katanyagan, at kapangyarihang meron ka, balang araw ay mawawalan lahat ng kabuluhan, Maging ang iyong galit, kabiguan, at mga problema ay magkakaroon ng wakas, gayundin naman ang pag asa, ambisyon, at mga plano mo sa buhay ay di na maisasakatuparan at mawawalan na ng saysay. Hindi mahalaga kung saang pamilya ka nagmula o kung ano ang iyong narating sa buhay. Sa bandang huli ikaw man ay matalino o mangmang, abae o lalaki, kahit pa ang kulay ng iyong balat ay mawawalan ng halaga.

"ANO BA ANG BUHAY NA MAY KABULUHAN?"

Paano ba masusukat ang halaga ng iyong araw?
Ang mahalaga ay hindi kung ano ang iyong mga binili, kundi kung ano ang iyong binuo; hindi kung ano ang nakuha mo, Kundi kung ano ang iyong ibinigay. Ang mahalaga ay hindi ang dami o lawak ng iyong natutuhan, kundi kung ano ang itinuro mo at natutuhan ng iba dahil sa'yo. Hindi mahalaga kung gaano ka kagaling, ang mahalaga ay ang iyong karakter. Hindi mahalaga kung gaano karaming mga tao ang nakilala mo, kundi gaano karami ang nakadarama ng iyong pagkawala pagdating ng panahon. Ang mahalaga ay hindi ang iyong mga alaala, kundi ang mga alaalang maiiwan mo sa mga nagmamahal sa iyo. Ngunit ito ang pinakamahalaga sa lahat.
ITO AY ANG MAKILALA AT TANGGAPIN MO ANG PANGINOONG HESUS SA IYONG BUHAY.
Ito ang hindi mo dapat mapalampas habang may buhay ka pa. Ang lahat ng makukuha at maaaring ibigay sa'yo ng mundo ay mananatili lahat sa mundo. Maging ang iyong katawan ay iiwan mo sá mundo. Dahil hubad kang lumabas mula sa tiyan ng iyong ina, kaya hubad ka ding babalik sa Diyos pagdating ng panahon. Huwag mong pakamahalin ang mga makamundong gawain at ang mga bagay sa mundong ito. Higit kaninuman ang Diyos ang iyong pakamahalin. Pagsisihan mo ang iyong mga kasalanan at magbalik loob ka sa Diyos habang hindi pa huli ang lahat. Ang pamumuhay ng may halaga at makabuluhan ay hindi aksidente. Isa itong pagpili. Kaya piliin mo kung ano ang higit na mahalaga sa buhay. Piliin mong mabuhay na may Diyos na kinikilala at pinaglilingkuran. Dahil sa bandang huli, makamtam mo man ang lahat ng bagay sa mundong ito. Kung wala kang Kristo sa puso ay laging may kulang sa buhay mo. Tanging pag ibig lang ng Diyos ang makapag pupuno at kukumpleto sayo.

Mawawala ang sanlibutan at lahat ng mga bagay na pinagnanasaan ng mga tao, ngunit ang mga sumusunod sa kalooban ng Diyos ay mabubuhay magpakailanman.
