Today, the world holds its breath. The shouts of the crowd have faded, the agony of the cross is over, and we find ourselves in the most profound pause in human history. On this Holy Saturday, we contemplate The King Who Waits in the quiet shadows of the garden tomb.
There is a unique weight to this day. It is the "in-between" timeโthe space between the "It is finished" of Friday and the "He is risen" of Sunday. For the disciples, it was a day of confusing silence and heavy grief. For us, it is a reminder that God is often doing His deepest, most transformative work when we can neither see nor hear Him.
"He is still." These words carry a dual meaning for us today. First, they remind us of the physical reality of Christโs sacrificeโHe truly died and was buried, entering into the fullness of our human experience, even unto the grave. But secondly, they echo the promise of Psalm 46:10: "Be still, and know that I am God."
Even in the silence of the tomb, the Word of God was not defeated. Even when the stone was rolled into place and the world thought the story had ended, the power of the Resurrection was quietly stirring in the depths. If you find yourself in a "Saturday" season of lifeโa time of waiting, of silence, or of unanswered prayersโremember that the tomb was not a dead end; it was a sanctuary of preparation. The silence of today is the soil in which the miracle of tomorrow is growing. ๐ฟ๐ชจ๐ฏ๏ธ
