Scripture:

"...Sapagkat hindi dapat mag-impok ang mga anak para sa kanilang mga magulang, kundi ang mga magulang para sa kanilang mga anak."
— 2 Corinto 12:14

Observation:

•Katulad ng isang Magulang: Ginamit niya ang halimbawa ng pamilya. Ang mga magulang ang likas na nagbibigay at nag-iipon para sa kinabukasan ng kanilang mga anak, hindi ang kabaligtaran.

Application:

•Pagiging "Magulang" sa Pananampalataya: Tulad ni Pablo, tinatawag din tayo na maging mapagbigay sa mga "bata" pa sa pananampalataya—gabayan sila at suportahan sa halip na asahan silang pagsilbihan tayo.

Prayer:

Panginoon, salamat po sa Iyong pag-ibig na walang hinihintay na kapalit. Turuan Niyo po akong magmahal tulad ni Pablo—na ang hangad ay ang kabutihan ng kapwa at hindi ang sariling pakinabang. Linisin Niyo po ang aking motibo sa paglilingkod. Tulungan Niyo po akong maging mapagbigay at mapagmahal sa mga taong ipinagkatiwala Mo sa akin. Amen."

Scripture

"Do not be misled: 'Bad company corrupts good character.'"
- 1 Corinthians 15:33

Observation

•The Warning: Paul starts with "Do not be misled." This means it is very easy to trick ourselves into thinking we are "immune" to the influence of others.

•The Reaction: It is a cause-and-effect statement. If you have "bad company," the result is "corrupted character."

•The Focus: It’s not just about what we do, but who we are (our character). Our inner circle shapes our inner self.

Application

•The Influence Audit: I need to look at the people I spend the most time with. Do they make me want to be more patient, honest, and kind? Or do they bring out my temper, my gossip, or my selfishness?

•Setting Boundaries: I don't have to stop being kind to people, but I need to be careful about who has "keys" to my heart. Today, I will choose to spend extra time with someone who encourages my faith.

Prayer

"Lord, thank You for Your Word. Please give me clear eyes to see the influences in my life. If there are friendships that are pulling me away from You, give me the strength to set healthy boundaries. Bring people into my life who will sharpen me and help me grow. Amen."
