~ Is far above rubies. Verse 10
- The good that she does cannot be paid for with money
- Neither can she be bought with money
- A gift of the Lord

~ Is trustworthy. Verse 11
- He need not worry that she will be unfaithful to him when he is away from home.
- God fearing wife does good to her husband and no evil all the days of her life
- She is more concerned about her husband's and children's welfare than she is of her own

- She has a quick eye for the poor and needy
- No matter how distant a son has become toward his mother, when he is laid helpless on the bed, there is no one he would cherish more than the loving hand of his mother.

- She maketh herself coverings of tapestry her clothing is silk and purple
- Has beauty of the soul
Verse 30:
Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.

~ Is kindly and wise in her speech. Verse 26
- Not a gossiper who hangs over the fence half the day
- She openeth her mouth with wisdom
- Her tongue is the law of kindness

~ Is blessed. Verse 28
- Her children shall arise up and call her blessed
- Her husband also and he praiseth her

WHY WAIT, IF YOU CAN SERVE THE LORD TODAY?
John 9:4 “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” KJV

Objective:
•To teach, encourage, and warn every listener to give his life in service to God before it is too late.

I. WE MUST REMEMBER THE LORD WHILE WE ARE YOUNG AND STRONG (Ecc. 12:1)
A. God must be remembered now, not later
The verse says "Remember now"
* God does not ask for leftovers of life
He deserves our strength, time, and best years.
B. Youth and strength are opportunities for service
* When a person is young and able, he can learn, labor, and lead
* Strength is a gift to be used in God's service
C. Delaying obedience is dangerous
* Many who plan to serve later never do
* Tomorrow is never promised
Application:
* Do not waste your strong years in worldly pursuits only. Give your mind, body, and ability to the Lord while you can.

II. WE MUST WORK FOR THE LORD WHILE OPPORTUNITY REMAINS (John 9:4)
A. Life is the daytime for service
* As long as we live, we have work to do
* Every Christian has responsibility in the kingdom
B. The Lord expects labor, not idieness
* Christianity is not just knowing truth, it is doing the will of God
Application:
* While you can teach, teach.
* While you can pray, pray.
* While you can encourage, encourage.
* While you can attend, give, visit, and labor-do it now.

III. LIFE IS SHORT AND UNCERTAIN (James 4:14)
A. Life is brief
* Like a v***r, it appears for a little time
* Man is not permanent on earth
B. Life is uncertain
* No one knows how long he will live
Proverbs 27:1 - "Boast not thyself of to morrow...
C. Because life is short, service must be urgent
* What is delayed may never be done
* A wasted life cannot be recovered
Application:
* Do not live as though you have unlimited time. Live each day prepared, useful, and faithful before God.

IV. SERVING THE LORD BRINGS JOY, PURPOSE, AND REWARD (1 Corinthians 15:58)
A. Service to God is never useless
* The world may forget your labor
* But God sees and remembers
B. Serving God gives life true meaning
* Real purpose is found in doing His will
Ecclesiastes 12:13 - "Fear God, and keep his commandments...
C. Faithful service has eternal reward
Revelation 22:12 - "my reward is with me"
* Heaven awaits the faithful servant
Application:
* Do not think that serving God is a burden only. It is a life of meaning, peace, and eternal hope.

V. THOSE WHO REFUSE TO SERVE THE LORD WILL FACE JUDGMENT (Hebrews 9:27)
A. Death is certain
* Every man must die
* No one escapes this appointment
B. Judgment follows death
* After life comes accountability
2 Corinthians 5:10 - all must appear before the judgment seat of Christ
C. Neglecting the Lord is a serious sin
* It is not enough to avoid evil
* One must also obey and serve God
* Joshua 24:15
Matthew 6:33 - seek first the kingdom of God
Application:
* This is the warning: a life spent without faithful service to God is a life that will answer for wasted opportunity.

VI. THE RIGHT RESPONSE IS TO GIVE YOURSELF FULLY TO THE LORD
TODAY (Romans 12:1)
A. Give yourself completely
* Not partly, but fully
* Not occasionally, but faithfully
B. Begin now
* The best day to obey is today
2 Corinthians 6:2 - "behold, now is the accepted time"
C. Continue steadfastly
* Serving God is not a temporary emotion
* It is a lifelong commitment
Application:
* If you are not yet serving as you should, start now. If you have grown weary, return now. If you are faithful, continue with greater zeal.

CONCLUSION:
* Life is short.
* Opportunity is limited.
* Death is certain.
* Judgment is coming.
* Therefore, while we still have breath, strength, and opportunity, let us serve the Lord with all our heart
* Do not wait for a better season.
* Do not wait for old age.
* Do not wait for tomorrow.
* Serve the Lord now, while you still have life.
