Paul said that we must not only put to death our sinful desires but also '๐š™๐šž๐š ๐šŠ๐š ๐šŠ๐šข ๐š˜๐šž๐š› ๐šœ๐š’๐š—๐š๐šž๐š• ๐š™๐š›๐šŠ๐šŒ๐š๐š’๐šŒ๐šŽ๐šœ'. To "put away" means to remove something that no longer belongs to us, like taking off dirty clothes. We must intentionally remove the behaviors that do not match our new identity in Christ. We are called to put off our old self and put on our new self.

Because Christ has already conquered sin, we have the power to reject it. Paul specifically tells believers to put away anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk. We must not be identified by these attitudes because they do not reflect the identity of someone who has been changed by Christ.

Listening to the God of Covenant
Exodus 33:7-34:14

God is not only a speaking and listening God, He is also a covenant-making God. He desires a close and personal relationship with His people. God is not meant to be known only in knowledge, but to be known personally.

Even when His people fail, He continues to pursue them. Israel sinned greatly when they created a golden calf and worship it, yet God renewed His covenant, showing that His faithfulness is greater than our failures. A covenant relationship requires commitment. As a "jealous" God, He desires our wholehearted devotion, not divided loyalty.

May we remain faithful to the God who is always faithful to His covenant with us. To God be the glory โค๏ธ

But God gives us a beautiful secret to true stability: when we consciously anchor our thoughts on Him and choose to trust Him completely, He guards our minds with an unshakeable, perfect peace.
