When someone dies, the Church teaches that they may still be healing and being made ready to be fully with God. We donโt know what that looks like exactlyโbut we trust that God is kind and merciful. Praying for the dead also comforts the living. It reminds us that love doesnโt end at death, and that in God, we are still connected.
