Echoing her original 400-year-old journey from Acapulco to Manila, the Milagrosang Birhen ng Antipolo has crossed oceans once more, this time from the Philippines to Brazil, to embrace a global family of Filipinos, Brazilians, and migrants alike.
โThis sacred occasion beautifully aligns with the charism of the Scalabrinian priests, who dedicate their ministry to accompanying migrants, seafarers, and people on the move. The image of Nuestra Seรฑora de la Paz y Buen Viaje stands as a powerful symbol of a borderless, universal Church. She is a visual reminder of a mother who walks alongside the weary, the searching, and those navigating the unpredictable storms of life, leading everyone to her Son.
โMore than a celebration, this enthronement is a divine sending forth. Bishop Santos challenges the faithful to become active missionaries of Mary by crossing the distances between hearts, acting as instruments of peace, and ensuring the parish remains a sanctuary of compassion where no one feels alone. Guided by the Star of the Sea, we are reminded that no matter how diverse our backgrounds or how difficult our paths, we share many journeys but cross them with one Mother.
