Winning the next generation for Jesus Since 1999, New Hope to Asia has been reaching out to street children of Cainta.

It started with a special Christmas party where mostly ages 3 to 12 years old came for the occasion. These are the children that beg for money or food on the streets, or selling ci******es and newspapers, or collecting plastics and metals to sell at junk shops. A weekly Saturday meeting called “Superkids Bible Club” was decided as a follow-up to the Christmas party. At present, 600 street children

are now coming regularly to the meeting where hot nutritious lunch is continually served. They are also taught Bible stories, principles, and values. Out of this ministry, former drug addicts, thieves, and derelicts became Christians, finished college degree and are now self-supportive and working with dignity. Youths who have been out-of-school are brought back to school and are supported financially covering their expenses up to college. It is for this burden that New Hope to Asia Christian Foundation Inc. has tied up with NHTA Center for Education, Inc. to continue to reach out to the poor of Cainta by helping finance children who are ready for formal education but are not capable financially to be supported by their parents. Parents of these children are mostly unemployed or would accept odd jobs to earn a living.

It’s a Saturday and nothing can stop us from doing Superkids here at Virac! After which we headed to the Summit at Viga via tricycle and bus ride. Then caught the sea of clouds early morning of Sunday. We attended an amazing church at the Summit where Mona shared the word. Then on our way back to Virac, the girls had fun swimming in the river. It was truly a full two days of fun and excitement and freedom to worship in a church up a hill where no neighbors will get offended by the loud singing!

Arrived at the beautiful island of Catanduanes where 7 excited teens heeded the call to join the Summer Bible School program, with Pastor Ding and Mona and 2 teachers. After 12 hours of land travel and 4 hours ferry, these girls are so happy and anticipating what the Lord has for them in the next few weeks.

Day 3 - Sharing the gospel to both adults and children. While adults queued patiently to receive medical and dental care, our teachers took the opportunity to introduce and explain the salvation colors. Then moved on to the front of a chapel where kids patiently waited for the kids program. Thanking God for opportunities!

Our Teachers team is in Roxas City, Capiz province, for medical and dental missions in collab with WeServe Phils. It’s been awesome doing Kids Ministry, in the different barangays where we needed to travel an hour from our base hotel. After an early flight and a quick bite we were off to our first destination. Nothing compares seeing Jesus’ love touch children’s hearts wherever we go!

We are so honored to have Bro. Sal and Citas Frutos on Easter Sunday. It was truly a powerful service, praying for everyone, waiting on the Lord and speaking prophetic words to each one. It has been 20++ years since he came to New Hope. Jesus’ love is so amazing!
