Sep 4, 2025. Bro. Joseph D. Cabungcal, East A sector head, presented the re-establishment of the Brookside Chapter of Couples for Christ (CFC).
Our meeting for the re-establishment of the Brookside Chapter of Couples for Christ (CFC) was anchored by the powerful verse from Matthew 28:19-20, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." This verse reminds us of our core mission as CFC members: evangelization.
As we reflect on our mission, we recognize that our work is rooted in building homes that become true "domestic churches," fulfilling God's command to evangelize, and ensuring that no one is left behind as a missionary church. We evangelize because it is at the heart of our faith and our calling as followers of Christ.
Historically, the Brookside Chapter was established in 1990, and the Country Homes/Cypress Chapter merged with Brookside. However, with the 35th anniversary celebrations and the challenge from our IC Bukuhan to grow our chapters, coupled with the inquiry from Fr. Phil and Fr. Gerry during the 2025 clergy congress about the presence of CFC in Brookside, we need to establish active relationship with Sacred Heart Parish and felt a renewed call to re-evangelize and re-establish our chapter in Brookside.
Our re-establishment efforts are not just about reviving a chapter but about building a stronger, more vibrant faith community that actively engages with the local parish, Sacred Heart. By establishing an active relationship with the parish, we aim to deepen our mission and impact, bringing the love of Christ to more families and individuals in Brookside.
This initiative is a response to God's call, and we are excited to embark on this journey, trusting in His guidance and providence. Together, as a community of faith, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around us.
