Happy New Year from Calvary! ๐
By Godโs grace, we are often given clean slates when a new year starts.
Like so many during this time of the year, you make be reflecting on what you want to accomplish, start doing, improve, or even change in yourself and in your life for the rest of the year. And, like many, behind the good intentions in making these โgoalsโ or โresolutions,โ you may be feeling a little overwhelmed.
How about starting with something uncomplicated and tried and true? โก Start with God. Start with the Bible.
A beginning of a new year is a fresh opportunity to return to Him with a renewed heart. What if the most that you can make with this new beginning is to commit to be intentional in your walk with Him? By committing our ways to Him through abiding in His Word every day do we align ourselves with His plansโthis is where we find whatโs truly best for us.
Charles Spurgeon said in one of his sermons: โI wish, my brothers and sisters, that during this year you may live nearer to Christ than you have ever done before. Depend upon it, it is when we think much of Christ that we think little of ourselves, little of our troubles, and little of the doubts and fears that surround us. Begin from this day, and may God help you.โ
This 2026, we pray that you aim to grow closer to the LORD by growing deeper in His Word each day, starting this January.
