OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE OFFICE OF THE BISHOP OF PILGRIM BIBLE BAPTIST CHURCH CAINTA

SUBJECT: CLARIFICATION ON THE UNAUTHORIZED USE OF "75 PILGRIM BIBLE BAPTIST CHURCHES" IN A POLITICAL MANIFESTO, NEWS REPORTS AND POSTS PUBLISHED IN VARIOUS SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM
To my fellow workers in Christ and the Filipino public:
It was brought to the attention of this office that a "Manifesto of Support" dated May 4, 2026, has been circulated, claiming that "75 Pilgrim Bible Baptist Churches country-wide" are part of a collective political endorsement.
As the Bishop of Pilgrim Bible Baptist Church, Congregations, and Ministries, I wish to set the record straight:
1. NO OFFICIAL CONSENT: The statement claiming to represent the 75 Pilgrim Bible Baptist Churches was made without the knowledge, consent, or authorization from the churches indicated in the manifesto. No such corporate endorsement has been discussed or approved by the leadership of Pilgrim Bible Baptist Churches, Congregations, and Ministries.
2. PERSONAL VS. CHURCH STANCE: The four pastors from different Pilgrim churches signed this document in their individual capacities. Their signatures represent their personal political convictions and do not-under any circumstances-speak for the entire 75 Pilgrim Bible Baptist Churches country-wide. It is not our practice to impose on our fellow pastors, let alone, our members or anyone who to support or vote.
3. MISLEADING REPRESENTATION: It is an overreach to mention the 75 Pilgrim Bible Baptist Churches in a political manifesto without following the proper ecclesiastical channels. This inclusion is misleading unfair to the public and to our members.
4. OUR SPIRITUAL FOCUS: The Pilgrim Bible Baptist Church remains dedicated to the preaching of the Gospel. We maintain institutional neutrality in political affairs to ensure that our mission remains focused on the spiritual welfare of all people, regardless of their political leanings.
We request the convenors of this manifesto and the media to issue a correction to reflect that this support is limited to the individual signatories and does not represent the 75 Pilgrim Bible Baptist Churches country-wide.
We humbly request a retraction of the unauthorized use of our church's name.
I ask the brethren for your continued prayers for wisdom and unity as we navigate these times. Let us remain steadfast in our true calling.
