Ngayon ay ang Unang Linggo ng Panahon ng Pagdating ng Panginoon o mas kilala sa tawag na Adbiyento. Sinisimulan na natin ang apat na linggong paghahanda para sa Kapaskuhan, ang pagdating ng ating Panginoong Hesus bilang isang sanggol sa sabsaban.

Sa ating mga pagbasa, tayo ay binabalaan: Maghanda! Maghanda sapagkat hindi natin nalalaman ang pagdating ng Anak ng Tao at para hindi tayo matulad sa mga taong hindi handa sa pagdating ng baha noong panahon ni Noe.

Isa itong paalala na hindi lamang handa sa hapag o mga pangregalo ang dapat nating bigyang-pansin sa panahon ng Adbiyento. Higit lalo na ay ihanda natin ang ating mga kalooban sa pagdating ni Hesus. Ilaan natin ang ating Adbiyento sa pagkilala kung sino ba talaga Siyang darating, upang alam natin kung ano ang sa Kanya'y makalulugod at iyon ang ating ihain: mga pusong mapagpakumbaba, bukas sa paglingap sa kapwa, at sabik sa kaligtasang dulot ni Hesus.

In his pastoral reflection, Most Rev. Ruperto Cruz Santos addresses the nation’s recent revelations of alleged corruption involving public officials. He reminds the faithful that truth can never remain hidden, for God’s light reveals all things.
The Diocese of Antipolo echoes a call for integrity, accountability, and courage amid recent national allegations of corruption. May all faithful include all the leaders in prayers, calling them to walk in the light and eventually find healing for the country, under the maternal care of the Birhen ng Antipolo, guided by Christ's light, towards truth and integrity.

Bishop Ruperto Santos calls upon the faithful of the Diocese of Antipolo to participate in a second collection on November 16 as an act of compassion and solidarity with the suffering communities in Cebu, Samar, and Negros. He reminds everyone that faith finds its truest expression in charity, giving not merely from surplus, but from the heart.
Let us open our hearts in the second collection at all Masses as we extend charity and compassion to our brothers and sisters in Cebu, Samar, and Negros.
As one diocese, let us be instruments of Christ’s mercy and peace, inspired by the maternal care of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, Birhen ng Antipolo, Ina ng mga Pilipino.

“A Prayer for Protection Before the Storm”
O Lord, our refuge and protector, we come before You as the storm approaches, our hearts trembling yet trusting in Your power.
We ask for Your mercy and covering over our families, homes, and land. Stretch out Your mighty hand, Lord, and shield us beneath the safety of Your wings.
As the winds gather and the skies darken, speak peace before the storm arrives. Command the forces of nature to show mercy and keep destruction far from us.
Surround every home with Your angels and guard the weak, the elderly, and the young. Let faith rise stronger than fear as we prepare for what is to come. Fill our hearts with calm and confidence that You are with us.
Hear the prayers of all who call upon You for safety and strength. Hold back the fury of the storm, preserve life, and bring us safely through,
in Jesus’ name, Amen.
