Today, we are reminded through the withered fig tree that Jesus sees beyond what people see. He looks at the heart.

The tree had plenty of leaves, so from a distance it looked alive and healthy. But when Jesus came near, there was no fruit.

It made us think: What does Jesus find when He comes close to our lives?

It’s easy to look okay on the outside to go to church, pray, serve, and speak about God. But Jesus is not only looking at what we do outwardly. He desires a heart that is truly surrendered to Him.

Real faith should change us. It should slowly produce love, obedience, humility, patience, and a desire to live for God.

May we never be satisfied with simply having leaves. May our lives be deeply rooted in Christ and bear fruit that comes from knowing Him.

Lord, keep working in our hearts. Make our faith genuine, our roots deep, and our lives fruitful for Your glory.

Bible Study | Galatians 5:16–24
10.03.2026

Galatians 5:16–24 teaches us that there is a real conflict between the desires of the flesh and the leading of the Holy Spirit. Paul reminds us that we cannot live a godly life by following our own desires. We must choose to walk by the Spirit.

The works of the flesh reveal a life controlled by sinful desires, while the fruit of the Spirit reveals a life being transformed by God. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are not simply good qualities we try to produce. They are the fruit of a life surrendered to the Spirit.

Paul ends by reminding believers that those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Following Christ means turning away from the old life and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead us into a new one.

A Spirit-led life is not about doing what feels right to us, but surrendering what we want so Christ can shape who we become.

Prayer Meeting | Matthew 23:23–24

Tonight, we are reminded that God is not only looking at what we do outwardly, but at what is happening within our hearts.

Jesus reminds us not to become so focused on the small things that we forget what matters most: justice, mercy, and faithfulness. Prayer brings us back to the right priorities. It allows God to search our hearts, correct what needs to be corrected, and teach us to live out a faith that is sincere and pleasing to Him.

May our prayers not only ask God to change our circumstances, but first allow Him to change us. May He give us hearts that love what He loves, show mercy as He shows mercy, walk faithfully with Him, and live out His Word not only in church but in our everyday lives.

Lord, search our hearts and help us never to strain out the small things while neglecting the things that matter most to You. 🙏

JOINT BIBLE STUDY | JOSHUA & DORCAS MINISTRY | 9.24.2026

Galatians 5:1–12 reminds us of the precious freedom we have in Christ. Jesus did not set us free so we could return to the burden of trying to earn our salvation through our own efforts. We are saved by grace through faith not by rituals, religious practices or by trying to prove our worth before God.

Paul strongly reminds the believers to “stand firm” in the freedom Christ has given them. Christian freedom is not permission to live however we want; it is freedom from the burden of trying to become righteous by our own works. Our good works should flow from a heart that has already been changed by grace, not become the reason we think God will accept us.

The challenge for us is to examine what we are trusting in. Are we resting completely in what Christ has done, or are we quietly adding our own efforts as if the cross were not enough? Galatians 5 calls us back to the simplicity of the Gospel: Christ is enough.

May we continue to stand firm, walk in faith and live out the freedom we have received not as an excuse to return to sin, but as grateful people who belong completely to Christ.

“For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1

Today was a beautiful day of fellowship, laughter, and togetherness as one church family. We thank God for the gift of each other for the joy we share, the friendships we build, and the memories we make along the way.

More than just a day of fun, today reminded us that the church is a family. We may come from different backgrounds and have different stories, but in Christ, we belong to one another.

Thank You, Lord, for this wonderful family You have given us. May we continue to grow together in faith, love, and unity, always keeping Christ at the center of everything we do.

One family. One faith. One Lord.
All glory belongs to God! 🙏🤍

Today, we are reminded of the beautiful invitation of Jesus: “Come to Me, learn from Me, and walk with Me.” When our hearts are tired and our burdens feel too heavy, He calls us to come not to carry everything on our own, but to find rest in Him. As we come to Him, we learn from His gentleness, humility, and ways, allowing Him to shape our hearts and teach us how to live. And as we walk with Him each day, we learn to trust His leading, carry His yoke, and follow even when the journey is not easy. Jesus does not promise a life without difficulties, but He promises that with Him, we do not have to face them alone. May we continually come to Jesus, learn from Jesus, and walk with Jesus, because true rest is found not in having an easy life, but in having Him with us through it all.

Bible Study | Titus 3:3–8

This passage reminds us to never forget who we were before God changed us. We too were once lost, but God met us with His mercy and kindness. He saved us not because we were worthy, but because of His grace.

And when we truly understand that grace, it changes the way we live. We are called to stop living for ourselves and instead be willing to do good, help others, and reflect the goodness of the One who saved us.

God’s grace is not just something we receiveit is something that transforms the way we live.
