WE PRAY BECAUSE HE IS WORTH SEEKING 🙌

Another evening spent in God’s presence. Last night, we gathered in prayer, worship, and fellowship, reminding us that faith was never meant to be lived alone.

To every youth: we’d love to have you with us. Come when you’re tired. Come when you’re thankful. Come when you have a lot on your heart.Let’s make prayer a part of our lives, not just something we do when we need something.

Yesterday’s TJL movie night was so much more than just a film, it felt like a whole reset.

The Forge packed in so many timeless lessons: how stepping up takes courage, how letting go of bitterness opens the door to real freedom, and how powerful life becomes when you shift from worrying to waging peace on your knees. Last Friday at our TJL Service, we gathered for Canvas & Carry: DIY Tote & Pouch Night! Beyond the markers and blank canvases, we reflected on what it truly means to be a vessel for God. We are all blank canvases in His hands, ready to be filled with His Spirit and used to carry His light into the world.

"Lahi man ang atong plano , apan mas nindot gihapon ang gihimo sa Ginoo." 🌧️

We were so excited for our Canvas and Carry activity yesterday, but the heavy downpour changed everything. We prayed for the rain to stop, but when it didn't, we simply surrendered and trusted God’s ways and timing. Honest truth? We really didn’t expect more youths to still show up.

Yet, God surprised us! From just a few early birds sitting around the table, youth after youth kept walking through the door.

We traded art supplies for something far richer, a warm kamustahan, real testimonies, prayer and a powerful message from Isaiah 40:28–31 shared by their ate Noreen. It was a beautiful reminder that when we wait on the Lord, He renews our strength so we can keep going( rain or shine).

Huge gratitude to all the supportive parents for allowing their kids to be here and sincere apologies if they got home late as we waited for the heavy rain to stop. Praying that these young hearts grow deeper and deeper in love with God every single day! 🤍🙌

Investing in their faith and their future! 🙌

The youth wrapped up Week 3 of their Study Circle sessions with Ate Ellah taking them through their English lesson. Having a safe space right after church to prep for major exams and scholarships is a huge blessing. 📚

Turns out, the biggest battle was never against the world around us, it was the "me" inside us all along. 🫣

Yesterday’s TJL Youth Service hit us with a much-needed reality check! Beyond the fun, laughs, and awesome fellowship, we tackled "Personal Enemy #1" and realized how easily Self, our pride, self-will, and desire for control, tries to sneak onto the throne of our hearts.

But here’s the best part: we don't have to carry that fight on our own. Jesus already won the battle over our old self! True freedom and joy happen when we step down, Know, Count, Realize, and Give, choosing daily surrender so God stays in Chair #1.

"My parents are bugging me." 🗣️

Last Friday’s youth service hit close to home. We talked about the real frustrations we face in our families and how tough things can get. While some family problems are genuinely difficult, we were challenged to look inward too, because there are times when SELF is actually the one sitting on the throne of our hearts, making us easily offended, proud, or quick to rebel.

The challenge for us as Christians is to CHECK OUR HEARTS, choose humility, and let Christ take the lead when our own pride gets in the way.

On another note, look at these genuine smiles. It is just so wonderful to see our youth enjoying the fellowship, and sharing pure joy with one another. Glory to God! 🙌
