𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐈𝐬 𝐄𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 ✨

It existed even before the foundations of creation!

The very existence of this covenant is 𝘤𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘴 with the Lord— for He alone is eternal.

Before time began, before the heavens and the earth were formed, God already existed, and His purposes and promises were already established.

𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐇𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬.
𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐇𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐟𝐮𝐥.

What the Lord declares in 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐡 𝟑𝟏:𝟑𝟓–𝟑𝟕 demonstrates that He Himself is the guarantor of His covenant.

The Lord points to the established order of creation—the sun, moon, stars, sea, and heavens—as evidence of His unchanging purpose. Just as these things remain according to His command, so His covenant and His promises remain according to His Word.

✨ 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘰𝘥’𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘋𝘖𝘐𝘕𝘎 𝘪𝘵, 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘖𝘕’𝘛𝘚.

God established His covenant with Israel out of Egypt and, declaring “You will be my people, and I will be Your God”. This was a MARK that would last from generations to generations.

But a covenant should be done between two parties…

God remained true and faithful to His words. But man, continues to fail in upholding their part of the covenant. Breaking it. Breaching it. Abandoning it.

The Law revealed the standards of God, but because of human weakness and sin, no one could perfectly keep it.

As Hebrews 10:1-4 says, the sacrifices made under the Law could never completely remove sin but only serve as a continuous reminder.

Yet, through The LORD’s perfect and sovereign plan, He made a NEW COVENANT— more effective, and more accessible. This new covenant did not abolish the Law but it fulfilled its true purpose.

And it shall be written in the hearts of men ❤️

Love.

Love shifts the focus of the narrative!

❌From avoiding the wrongs,
❌avoiding the DON’TS
❌avoiding the punishment,

Now… commanded to 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝.

Rather than being driven by fear of breaking the Law, we are 𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚 to fulfill it.

✅If you love your neighbors, do good to them.
✅If you love others, do no harm to them.
✅If you love God, you are willing to obey Him.
✅If you love The Almighty, you would always conform for Him.

The Law no longer became a checklist of things that we shouldn’t be doing but a checklist of what we should be living.

Last Sunday, the church in CDO gathered to renew their individual & familial covenants to The LORD.

Here are photos snapped as proof of their affixed signature, and willingness to keep the covenant in this generation.

By words, by deeds, and by belief, we all shall testify: The LORD is our God and we are His people! 📝

𝐀 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 🗯🧠

In a world where laws are written on paper and agreements are signed with ink, God promises something far more profound—a 𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐭 written not on stone, but on the human heart. He is, above all, the God of covenant. 📜

𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐡 𝟑𝟏:𝟑𝟑 reveals God’s beautiful assurance to His people: “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.”

This verse introduces us to the new covenant—a divine promise of renewed and lasting relationship with the Lord—and is initiated and sustained by God Himself. 🤝

But do not be mistaken—God did not abolish the law of the old covenant that was once written on stone. Instead, He has now inscribed it upon the hearts and minds of His people so it lives on.

God’s purpose stands firm, and through the Holy Spirit, He empowers His people to carry out His will. That you may enter into His Kingdom and confirm that you are His people. It is the greatest privilege—to have full access to His throne of grace and mercy.✨

Therefore, let us honor and revere the name of the Lord. Pledge your loyalty to Him alone, and hold His name in the highest honor. In doing so, you will fully experience the richness of His promises and blessings.

"𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐝."

This is the covenant of the LORD. The grace of God cannot be separated from His covenant. God's grace toward His people is rooted in His covenant and the two cannot be separated from one another.

In 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐰 𝟐𝟐:𝟑𝟕-𝟑𝟖, Jesus gives the g̲r̲e̲a̲t̲e̲s̲t̲ ̲c̲o̲m̲m̲a̲n̲d̲m̲e̲n̲t̲:
"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment." (ESV)

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐝'𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞?

If God is truly our God, our lives will reflect the covenant we have with Him.
𝟏. 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐦 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝𝐥𝐲.
In Matthew 22:37, Jesus stated the greatest commandment and it is to love God with all our heart and all our soul and all our mind. It is not a new law but the very foundation of our covenant relationship with God. To belong to Him is to love Him above all else.

𝟐. 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝.
To acknowledge God is to fear Him—not with terror, but with reverence, honor, and awe. A heart that truly knows God recognizes His holiness and lives with deep respect for Him.

𝟑. 𝐎𝐛𝐞𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐦.
True love for God is expressed through obedience. Obey His Word without delay and without complaint, trusting that His commands are always for our good.

𝟒. 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐦 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲.
Serving God is not merely an obligation but a privilege. Let us serve Him with willing hearts, faithfulness, and gratitude—not with grumbling, but with joy.

𝟓. 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐇𝐢𝐦 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞.
"You shall have no other gods before me." (Exodus 20:3, ESV)
God alone is worthy of our worship, for He is a jealous God who deserves our undivided devotion. Nothing and no one should ever take His rightful place in our hearts.

As we reflect on His covenant, let us also examine ourselves:
• Do I truly love Him?
• Do I fear Him?
• Do I obey Him?
• Do I serve Him?
• Do I worship Him alone?

𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬. A life marked by love, reverence, obedience, service, and wholehearted worship is the evidence of a life living under God's covenant.

✨ May we continue to live as God's covenant people, faithfully loving Him, fearing Him, obeying Him, serving Him, and worshiping Him alone.

Today, we celebrate the life of our truly remarkable servant of God, our dearly beloved & respected Bishop D**g Supangan! 💙✨️

Your life is a beautiful testimony of God's faithfulness. Through your steadfast dedication, godly wisdom, and compassionate heart, you have faithfully led and inspired countless lives. Your words are filled with truth, your guidance is rooted in love, and your wittiness brings joy and comfort to everyone blessed to know you.

Thank you for being more than a pastor; you are a spiritual father, a mentor, and a faithful shepherd who genuinely cares for God's people. 🫂

We pray that the Lord will continue to bless you with good health, renewed strength, overflowing joy, and many more fruitful years in His service. May He continue to grant you divine wisdom, protect you in every step, and fulfill every purpose He has prepared for your life. 🙏🏻

Israel's victories were 𝗡𝗢𝗧 because they were 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧.

In fact, throughout their journey in the wilderness, they often complained, doubted, and disobeyed.

Yet through it ALL, God remained FAITHTFUL.

For 𝟒𝟎 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬, God sustained His people.

When they were hungry, He sent manna from heaven and quail carried by the wind.

When they were thirsty, He provided water from the rock and turned bitter water into sweet water.

Their clothes and sandals did not wear out, and His presence guided them through the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night.

God's faithfulness never depended on Israel getting everything right. It depended on His character and His promises. 📖

THE SAME IS TRUE FOR US TODAY.

There may be seasons of hunger, hardship, disappointment, and suffering. Like Israel, we sometimes grumble, doubt God's plans, rebel against His will, and try to go our own way. Yet through it all, God's faithfulness remains UNCHANGED.

Looking back, we can see how He has provided, protected, and sustained us through every season of life. 🌿

If God was faithful to Israel in the wilderness, He will remain faithful to His people today. 🤍
