We would like to extend our appreciation to everyone who made the recently concluded Katipunan Formation Facilitators Training at Archbishop Jesus Tuquib Hall a meaningful and inspiring success.

Our sincere gratitude and appreciation goes to all the participants from our Basic Ecclesial Communities (BEC), Archdiocesan Catechetical Ministry (ACM), Cag. de Oro Network of Archdiocesan Schools (CONAS), Archdiocesan Youth Apostolate (AYA), Parish Social Action Coordinators and volunteers with the presence of 2 Vicariate Coordinators, AGGAp Parish Coordinators, and the St. John Marie Vianney Seminarians for your active participation, openness to learn, and commitment to servant leadership.

A special thank you to the Parish Youth Council (PYC) of Sta. Maria dela Candelaria Parish, led by Lawrence Seno, they came as participants but ended up being the impromptu secretariat and the Y-Soc of Sta. Maria dela Candelaria Parish, led by Maryfe, for your energy, enthusiasm, and invaluable support throughout the training.

Our deepest gratitude also goes to our dedicated facilitators from the Katipunan Program of the Kaya Natin! Movement—Madeleine, Harlequin, and Francis—for generously sharing your time, expertise, and passion for forming leaders committed to integrity, good governance, and active citizenship. To Most Rev. Socrates Villegas, Archbishop of the Diocese of Lingayen-Dagupan for your support the workers of the Katipunan Program.

May this formation continue to inspire all of us to become faithful, compassionate, and transformative leaders in our communities as we all look forward to becoming responsible citizens.

Together, let us keep the spirit of service alive through Katipunan and to continue building a better Church and society.

Daghang salamat kaninyo tanan! May God bless you abundantly.

Pastoral Announcement

TO: ALL CLERGY, CONSECRATED PERSONS AND LAY FAITHFUL in the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro

In response to the call of a White Ribbon March, spearheaded by an inter-religious, faith-based and non-partisan groups on June 28, for accountability, transparency, justice, and righteousness in public life, the CBCP enjoined all to participate in this endeavor in whatever way we can.

In the archdiocese we continue to pray the Nations’ Prayer for Enlightenment, Conversion and Renewal this coming Sunday. All prayer groups, BECs are also enjoined to pray this prayer in your prayer sessions and or SKKs. Everybody is also encouraged to wear white like what we had done last year.

Last Eucharistic Congress we also reflected on the relation between the eucharist we celebrate and the realities in our communities and in our country. There is always the social dimension of our Eucharistic celebrations. We pray that our Eucharistic celebrations as the source and summit of our Christian life will truly transform us, and we truly become a eucharistic community.

Let us include these intentions as we will celebrate the 75th Anniversary as an Archdiocese on Monday, June 29.
Peace

(SGD) Archbishop Jose A. Cabantan, D.D
