𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒐𝒏 𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒓𝒚.

1. Praying too fast without reflection

The Rosary is not a race to finish the prayers. The goal is to meditate on the life of Jesus and Mary through the mysteries.

Slow down and allow the words to lead your heart to God.

2. Focusing only on the words, not on Jesus.

Sometimes we can repeat the Hail Marys while our minds are somewhere else.

The Rosary is a Christ-centered prayer; every mystery points us to Jesus.

3. Treating the Rosary as a magical object.

The Rosary is a powerful sacramental and a tool of prayer, but it is not a charm that automatically grants wishes.

Its power comes from faith, repentance, and drawing closer to God.

4. Skipping meditation on the mysteries
The mysteries are the heart of the Rosary.

Without them, we may only be repeating prayers without contemplating the events of Christ’s life.

5. Getting discouraged by distractions

Many people think distractions mean they are praying badly. Even saints experienced distractions. The important thing is gently returning your attention to Jesus.

6. Praying only in times of trouble

The Rosary is not only for emergencies. It is a daily relationship with God, a way to grow in love, humility, and trust.

7. Forgetting that the Rosary leads to Jesus

Mary never takes the place of Jesus. She always leads us closer to her Son, just as she said: “Do whatever He tells you.” (John 2:5)

8. Praying without a sincere heart

The Rosary is not about counting beads; it is about opening our hearts to conversion, forgiveness, and deeper love for God.

The greatest prayer of the Rosary is not simply finishing five decades, but allowing the mysteries of Christ to transform our lives.

Through Mary’s intercession, may we come closer to the heart of Jesus. 🙏🌹

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — The World Apostolate of Fatima-Cagayan de Oro Archdiocesan Division has invited the faithful to participate in a WAF Discipline Seminar on July 4, 2026, at the Archbishop Patrick Cronin Formation Center, within the St. Augustine Metropolitan Cathedral Compound in Barangay 1, Fernandez Street, Cagayan de Oro City. Anchored on the theme, "Disiplina... mahinungdanon nga tulay tali sa imong mga katuyoan ug mga nahimo".

The seminar was attended by the chapters from El Salvador City, Calaanan, Tagoloan, Jasaan, Hinaplanan, and Balingasag. Featuring also the distinguished speakers—Bro. John Rey Sanchez, the Archdiocesan Prayer & Cell Coordinator, and Bro. Charlito Lorzano, the Archdiocesan Promotion and Formation Coordinator who emphasizes the role of self-discipline in achieving personal growth and spiritual maturity.

Organizers highlighted that consistent discipline helps shape one's character, strengthens commitment to faith, and encourages individuals to pursue a life of purpose and responsibility.

The event forms part of the apostolate's continuing mission to promote the message of Our Lady of Fatima by fostering prayer, conversion, and Christian values among the faithful.

Today was more than just a meeting—it was a gathering of young hearts united by faith, friendship, and a shared mission to serve. From exchanging ideas to planning future activities, this first face-to-face encounter reminded us that together, we can make a difference in our community and strengthen our devotion to Our Lady of Fatima.

Here's to new beginnings, stronger bonds, and a year filled with faith, service, and unforgettable memories! 🙏🌹

Faith in Motion: WAF Cagayan de Oro Celebrates Its 41st Anniversary with Prayer and Cultural Events

EL SALVADOR CITY, MISAMIS ORIENTAL—The World Apostolate of Fatima (WAF)–Cagayan de Oro Archdiocesan Division celebrated its 41st Founding Anniversary at Molugan National High School, El Salvador City, on April 25, 2026, with the theme "A Listening Church, United in Prayer with Mary."

The event was attended by the chapters from El Salvador, Calaanan, Nazareth, Tagoloan, Villanueva, Mambajao, Jasaan, Hinaplanan, and Balingasag; WAF President of El Salvador City, Zosima Gabule, who expressed gratitude for the assembly; WAF ACDO President Evelyn S. Gubantes, who delivered a keynote emphasizing the organization’s continued growth; and WAF ACDO Vice-President Marivic Torres.

The celebration commenced with the praying of the Holy Rosary, led by the Nazareth and Calaanan chapters. Which was followed by a parade of banners and the solemn entrance of the image of Our Lady of Fatima.

A highlight of the morning was the look-a-like competitions, where young representatives from the Children of Mary (CAF) and Youth Apostolate (YAF) dressed as the three shepherd children of Fatima and various saints. Then, a festival dance presentation, featuring local heritage dances including the Cantago Festival (Tagoloan), Higalaay Festival (Nazareth/Calaanan), Maya-Maya Festival (Jasaan), Sinulog Festival (Balingasag/Claveria), Nipa Festival (El Salvador), and Bongloy Festival (Villanueva).

The YAF ACDO election was also held to determine new youth leadership, followed by a spirited series of synchronous games. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass took place, presided over by Rev. Fr. Joshua A. Lamayo, SSJV, the WAF ACDO Spiritual Director.

The event concluded with a photo opportunity by chapter and a collective cleaning and restoration of the venue, embodying the apostolate’s commitment to stewardship. As the sun set over El Salvador City, delegates departed for their home, invigorated for another year of Marian missions.

CDO Archdiocesan Youth Apostolate of Fatima Holds Basic Seminar in Nazareth

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY—The Parish Marian Center at San Antonio de Padua Parish in Nazareth became a spiritual renewal as the Youth Apostolate of the World Apostolate of Fatima (YAF) held its Basic Seminar on March 7-8, 2026.

Young delegates from various corners of the archdiocese, including participants from Villanueva, Tagoloan, Calaanan, El Salvador, and the host parish of Nazareth, gathered to deepen their devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The two-day event focused on the core messages of Fatima, emphasizing prayer, penance, and the call to holiness in the modern world.

The seminar featured distinguished speakers who provided both local and national perspectives on the apostolate's mission. Sis. Evelyn Gubantes, the WAF CDO Archdiocesan President, Bro. John Rey Sanchez, the Archdiocesan Prayer & Cell Coordinator, Bro. Charlito Lorzano, the Archdiocesan Promotion and Formation Coordinator, and Sis. Mary Grace Bebillo, a National Formator.

As the seminar concluded, the young participants left with a renewed sense of purpose, equipped with the knowledge and spiritual sense necessary to serve as "blue army" of Mary in their local towns and cities.
