We are inviting 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝟭𝟰 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘃𝗲 (male and female) who are passionate about dance, teamwork, and service to join our Sinulog dancers. This is a time to offer your talent, discipline, and teamwork in service to God and the community.

The 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗼𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗹 would like to inform everyone that the scheduled “Pahalok sa Niño” for today will be 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗱 in consideration of the Pasko sa ECO celebration being held at the ECO Church. This decision is made to give way to the said event and to ensure the orderly flow of activities within the parish.

The “Pahalok sa Niño” will 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲 on 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟴, following the designated schedule: Phase 2 in the morning and Phase 3 in the afternoon. We encourage everyone to take note of this updated schedule and be guided accordingly.

We sincerely ask for your understanding, cooperation, and continued support. May we remain united in faith and devotion as we honor the Child Jesus through prayer, reverence, and active participation in our parish celebrations. Thank you, and may God bless us all.

The Altar Servers of San Pedro Calungsod together with the aspirants have completed the 9/9 of the Misa de Aguinaldo.

This journey taught us patience, humility, and the beauty of being part of something greater than ourselves. Even in moments of doubt or tiredness, His presence carried us, steady and constant, reminding us that true growth of the heart often comes through small, faithful acts of service.

Misa de Aguinaldo showed us that hope, peace, joy, and love are gifts, not rewards. The light we carry is meant to shine beyond the walls, into our homes, schools, and relationships. Serving is about living faith through gratitude, compassion, and love every day. In this, may our hearts find peace, because a life lived in service and faith already welcomes Him fully.

Every Sunday in October and November, let us wear white as a prayerful call for transparency, accountability, and good governance, and as a sign of our hope for national cleansing, renewal, and protection from calamities.

Cardinal Pablo Virgilio David reminds us: “Let our white garments be a symbol of the purity we seek for our land and our hearts. May this season of prayer and repentance lead us to hope, healing, and the restoration of our common life in truth and justice.”

Through Christ, we find the courage to serve with reverence, the patience to learn, and the joy to give our best. He is the source of our strength, and with Him, we can faithfully carry out our ministry with love.

As altar servers, this verse calls us to see our ministry not just as assisting in the liturgy, but as a sacrifice of love. Every small act—preparing the altar, carrying the cross, lighting the candles—is a way of sharing ourselves for the good of others. By serving with humility and joy, we become living reminders that God is pleased when we give, not only from our hands, but from our hearts.

To serve at the altar is not only to do a task, but to live out Hebrews 13:16: to do good, to share ourselves, and to let our service be a reflection of Christ’s own love.

Throughout the Old Covenant the mission of many holy women prepared for that of Mary. At the very beginning there was Eve; despite her disobedience, she receives the promise of a posterity that will be victorious over the evil one, as well as the promise that she will be the mother of all the living. By virtue of this promise, Sarah conceives a son in spite of her old age. Against all human expectation God chooses those who were considered powerless and weak to show forth his faithfulness to his promises: Hannah, the mother of Samuel; Deborah; Ruth; Judith and Esther; and many other women. Mary "stands out among the poor and humble of the Lord, who confidently hope for and receive salvation from him.
