The greatest deception of religion is the belief that Godโs ultimate goal for humanity is to take us to heaven. This misunderstanding has produced a generation of believers who live waiting to die rather than living to dominate. God did not create man for heaven; He created man for earth. In Genesis, He said, โLet us make man in our image and likeness, and let them have dominion over the earth.โ Godโs original intent was not evacuation but occupation โ not escape, but influence. Heaven was never the destination; it was the headquarters. Earth was meant to be the colony of heaven.
When Jesus came, He didnโt bring a religion; He brought a Kingdom. His message was not โRepent, for heaven is near,โ but โRepent, for the Kingdom of Heaven has come.โ The difference is profound. The Kingdom is Godโs government, His system of rulership manifested through His sons and daughters on earth. Heaven is not a reward; it is a resource. Jesus said, โThy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.โ Notice that He never said, โTake us to heaven.โ Instead, He prayed that heavenโs reality would invade the earth. Godโs dream is a world filled with people who manifest His image, character, and authority wherever they go.
Going to heaven may be the hope of religion, but bringing heaven to earth is the purpose of revelation. When we make heaven our goal, we miss Godโs intention. Thatโs why the Church often becomes passive โ we sing, shout, and wait, but we rarely build, govern, or transform. Godโs agenda is not to rescue us from the world but to redeem the world through us. You are not called to escape life; you are called to express Godโs life.
The message of the Kingdom is a call to responsibility, not relaxation. Jesus didnโt die just to forgive your sins; He died to restore your dominion. He didnโt come to get you out of earth; He came to get heaven back into you. Salvation was never the end โ it was the beginning of restoration. The moment you receive Christ, you donโt just become a church member; you become a Kingdom citizen, an ambassador of divine order in a broken world.
So, stop living for heaven and start living from heaven. Carry Godโs presence into your workplace, your family, your community, and your nation. Manifest the culture of the Kingdom โ love, justice, wisdom, creativity, and excellence. Heaven is already your home, but the earth is your assignment.
Beloved, Godโs greatest desire is not to take you away, but to send you forth. You are the evidence of His Kingdom on earth. You are the continuation of His purpose. Live not to leave the earth but to change it. Heaven is not your retirement plan; it is your resource center. The world is waiting for the sons and daughters of God to reveal what heaven looks like โ through them.
