Huge shoutout to our dedicated YIFI Cathedral delegates for actively participating the said activity. Thank you for your commitment to being the voice and hands of YIFI Cathedral in the wider diocese.

VACATION CHURCH SCHOOL (VCS) 2026: A HEARTFELT THANK YOU!

Our Vacation Church School (VCS) 2026 has officially come to a successful end! We are overflowing with gratitude for the abundance of blessings, support, and presence that made this year’s journey so meaningful.

We are profoundly grateful for the abundant blessings, steadfast support, and meaningful presence of everyone in nurturing the faith of our young ones.

We extend our highest commendations and deepest appreciation to the following:

First, the Clergy and Leadership Councils,
Our Cathedral Council: We express our formal thanks to our esteemed Diocesan Bishop, the Right Reverend Felixberto L. Calang, the Canon of the Cathedral, the Reverend Jefferson G. Palasan, for their pastoral guidance and unwavering support throughout the entire duration of the program, and to the lay members of the Cathedral Council for their love and support to this activity.
Our Chapel Councils: We acknowledge the councils from our various outstations (Carmen, Balulang, and Taguanao), for their wisdom, leadership, and enduring commitment to this mission.

We commend our teachers, volunteers, and staff who generously dedicated their time, effort, and immense patience. Your commitment ensured the safety of our students during their commutes, and your creativity transformed every session into an engaging and enriching experience of faith.

Our sincere thanks go to our sponsors for providing the essential learning materials and refreshments. Your benevolence sustained our daily operations and significantly contributed to the comfort of our participants.

To the supportive parents and guardians, we are deeply grateful for your trust. Your commitment to ensuring the consistent attendance and active participation of your children was vital to the program's success.

To our wonderful students, you are the very heart and reason behind this activity. We pray that all the lessons you learned during our VCS sessions are deeply embedded in your minds and hearts. After all, we are all “Kawangis ng Diyos” (In the Image of God).

Today, we joyfully continued our Vacation Church School 2026 as we journey together through Unit 3: “Maglilingkod nang Sama-sama.”
Through songs, lessons, activities, and sharing, we came to understand more deeply that we are created by God with love, goodness, and a unique purpose.

May we continue to nurture the hearts and faith of every child as true reflections of God’s image.

The eighth day of our Vacation Church School 2026 at the Cathedral was filled with joy as the children continued to learn, play, build friendships, and grow together in faith. Guided by the theme, “Ako ay Kawangis ng Diyos,” inspired by 1 Corinthians 12:12–27, the children were reminded that every person is valuable, unique, and worthy of love because all are created in the image of God.

Through songs, lessons, group activities, and creative experiences, we continue to nurture a spirit of inclusion, respect, and acceptance among the children—embracing one another despite differences in abilities, personalities, and backgrounds. Indeed, the Church remains a welcoming community where everyone is accepted, appreciated, and loved.

May we continue to keep in our prayers all the children, teachers, volunteers, and everyone involved in the VCS, that this journey of faith, learning, and fellowship may continue to inspire and strengthen them.

The seventh day of our Vacation Church School ended with hearts full of joy and gratitude. We sincerely thank all the children and parents who joined and actively participated in today’s activities.

As our VCS journey continues, we warmly welcome everyone who still wants to take part in this meaningful and exciting experience. Together, let us learn, have fun, and celebrate the uniqueness and diversity of one another.

At VCS, every moment is not only enjoyable—every child is loved, valued, and appreciated.

Day Seven of our Vacation Church School! ✨️

Today, we continue with our new topic, Unit 3: “Maglilingkod ng Sama-sama.” In this lesson, the children are reminded that as children of God, we are called to serve one another with love, unity, and humility.

Our Bible verse for this unit is Galacia 3:26–29, reminding us that we are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. No matter our differences, we are one in Him—equal, loved, and called to live in unity.

Throughout this unit, the children are learning the importance of serving others with a joyful heart, working together in unity despite differences, showing kindness, love, and respect to everyone, using their gifts and abilities to help and serve others, and understanding that we all belong to one family in Christ.

As we continue this journey, we are grateful for the growing faith, cooperation, and joy we see in each child. We pray that these lessons will inspire them to serve others in their homes, schools, and communities.
Our VCS journey continues to be filled with excitement, learning, and faith as we walk together with the children.

The VCS was led joyfully by the Teachers and Staff, facilitated lively songs to energize the children before the start of their classes. Through these joyful songs, each child was filled with enthusiasm and energy while gradually memorizing the VCS 2026 theme song.
The day continued to be meaningful and enjoyable as the children learned, built friendships, and deepened their faith together.
