We joyfully extend our heartfelt congratulations to our scholars who successfully graduated on April 11, 2026, from Siena College, Inc. Quezon City with the degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in Values Education, with a specialization in Religious Education.

In addition, they have faithfully completed the Ecclesiastical Course and Formation of Missionary-Catechists and are now officially conferred with the Missio Canonica—a sacred mandate to teach and proclaim the faith in the name of the Church.

The Archdiocesan Catechetical Ministry of Cagayan de Oro together with Siena College Quezon City and Lourdes College, Cagayan de Oro City, is offering a FULL SCHOLARSHIP to Senior High School Graduates who are interested to study Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Values Education at Siena College Quezon City and Lourdes College, Cagayan de Oro City.

The application, submission of requirements & entrance exam will be announced.

Qualifications:
1. Must be a baptized Roman Catholic.
2. Received the Sacrament of Confirmation.
3.Parents must be married (Catholic Wedding)
3. Senior High School Graduate.
4. Active in the Parish
5. 85% above general average

Requirements:
1. Copy of Form 138 with a General Average of 85% and no grade below 85 in Conduct.
2. PSA Birth Certificate (Clear copy).

Today, as the Philippine Church celebrates National Catechetical Sunday on the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross, we honor and thank our catechists for their tireless and selfless service in the mission of evangelization.

Just as the Cross stands as a sign of Christ’s ultimate sacrifice and love, our catechists embody this same spirit of dedication as they bring the light of faith to our parishes, families, and communities. Their mission goes beyond teaching; it is about forming hearts, guiding souls, and witnessing to Christ’s love amidst the challenges of life.

May they continue to be ambassadors of hope, proclaimers of the Good News, and instruments of God’s transforming love, so that every child, every family, and every parish may grow deeper in faith and closer to Christ, who is our life and salvation.

This month, we join as one family of faith in celebrating the National Catechetical Month 2025 with the theme: ‘Ambassadors of Hope: Witnessing Faith, Inspiring Love, and Transforming Lives in the Changing World.’

This celebration reminds us that we are all called to be living witnesses of the Gospel, bringing light in darkness, hope in despair, and love in indifference.

In a world that constantly changes, our mission as catechists, pastoral workers, and lay faithful remains the same: to lead others closer to Christ through the way we live, speak, and serve.

As part of this celebration, we share with you the inspiring life story of a couple whose journey as catechists reflects this mission of hope, love, and faith in action.
